British Airways have launched Charleston, South Carolina which will operate 2 weekly on a 787-8 on Thursdays and Sundays from 4th April 2019 to 24th October 2019.

Heathrow 1720 - Charleston 2120
Charleston 2250 - Heathrow 1150+

Wow didn't see that one coming! Seen rumours that BA were about to announce a new US route but the rumours were suggesting St Louis, Indianapolis or somewhere else which wasn't Charleston.

It's possible they may have been able to get a subsidy from the City of Charleston as they no doubt would've been seeking an international route.
