It appears that the Ghanaian government is not happy with BA decision of moving Accra to Gatwick and Ghana Aviation ministry has asked them to rescind the decision or expect reciprocal action including being told to land at other airports in Ghana.

Well it appears that the Ghanaian government has got what it wants and BA is keeping the route at Heathrow.

There is a large Ghanaian diaspora in Brazil and the US. Accra has a couple of US routes but no direct Brazilian routes and the Brazilian diaspora is much larger, so perhaps that is why LHR is seen as preferable to LGW.

Apparently it was suppose to operate to Chicago but got replaced by Dallas.

They will use the 787-10 and 777 on Chicago instead.

British Airways have are making reductions and cuts for Summer 2022 on some of its Asian routes. Beijing, Shanghai and Bangkok appear to have been removed for Summer 22 but look to be back for the Winter season starting October 30th. Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore see reductions from 2 daily to just 1 daily.

Most Asian countries are still only allowing their own citizens to travel into the country and even then often require extended quarantine periods regardless of vaccination status.

As long as such measures remain, demand will suppressed.

I agree with what you say there. Especially Hong Kong. The way things are going there I’ll be surprised if BA still operated flights. Or keep them suspended as they are currently.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
