Great photo Coal Powered, BHX seems to have a nice little freight op going on the quiet I assume it is mostly automobile related JLR etc but presume others like CL44 would know better.

I believe that they are emergency car parts.

Apparently it's more costly to have the track stopped for a length of time than it is to charter in freighters.

You are not wrong there Ray. Comparing costs it works out cheaper to hire the coal burners than have workers hanging around with nothing to do.

I was told if the track stops it can cost the company upwards of £100,000 per minute!

I have no idea if that figure is accurate or not but when you think that the factory produces a vehicle roughly every minute I can see how it could be so.

It makes BHX a little more interesting
