Thanks Ray,yes thanks had 2 days spotting at AMS,train to Dusseldorf,3 days there,then KLM Fokker 70 to AMS,then KLM back to Brum.

Hi all,some pics taken at BHX last Weds 20/9 at about 5am before boarding Monarch 321 G-ZBAF to Palma for a day trip.Also 1 of Barcelona and it`s airport from 37,000 ft.Regards,Simon.

Thanks for the photos. Under normal circumstances, I'd be delighted to see them in at BHX. Today though, their sight is tinged with sadness.

What is the one in the background Plus Ultra ?

Rob it's an A340-300 (EC-MFA) in the colours of Plus Ultra. It also appears to have 'Cubana' titles on the rear fuselage.
I saw it's arrival on FR24 in the early hours.

Here's another EC-MFB Plus Ultra Airbus A340 on its arrival from Palma. Omni Air Internation Boeing 777 behind it (N846AX). Another Omni Air International 777 arrived very shortly after but unfortunately I had to leave.

Another very early flight to Frankfurt last Thursday for some more night shots at BHX.Sadly also the last pictures of operational Monarch planes as they failed on the following Monday.I hope all the loyal staff find new employment quickly.Regards,Simon.
