Well EI-FFD left BHX for AYT on 21st and didn’t return until 21.51 today…
Ah that clears it up, it must have been tech then.

I'm quite surprised with you being a No1 that you assume and say it went tech with no factual information.

Just saying.

not entirely sure the “just saying” section is required there to one of the forums most insightful and valued contributers? not sure why they’d have to justify their own input. each to their own.

I justify my input by saying get some facts before assuming and speculating why an aircraft is delayed.

The poster said it was tech and justified it by saying "Well EI-FFD left BHX for AYT on 21st and didn’t return until 21.51 today" .

Hearsay doesn't cut it for me.

Note that we are on a forum, speculation and educated assumptions form parts of discussions all the time on F4A, if we only spoke in facts we’d never talk about anything. Not sure why in this instance its been decided that someone well informed making a well educated assumption requires your policing? Again each to their own.

I knew it wasn't tech , just wanted to show how idle gossip starts that spreads.

I said it because that was what I was told in good intentions but obviously I was misinformed by the person. The person who told me has rarely been wrong, but clearly in this case they were. So in future I'll only post if it can actually be proven.

United from San Francisco UAL901 B789 N26960 Diverting from LHR, currently into BHX. (Landed 0837)
So that is what it was.

On the way up to Lake District for a holiday, I nearly crashed the car as I saw a United fly overhead across the M6. I thought the team had done there work, I had missed some massive news on here and NYC was back.

Alas.

BTW, BrumX, the city centre skyline looks amazing from the M6! Your photos do it much justice on the Greater Brum thread.

Air India (AI113, VT-ANP) diverted to Moscow Sheremetyevo and is now due at 01:38.

A rare instance of a commercial airliner flying from Russia to the UK!

7 and a half hours on the ground at Moscow, I cant imagine what the passengers might have had to go through, would they all have had Russia security checks?? Be interesting if this make any news headlines over the next day or two!

Quite a few outlets have picked it up.

Good to see a full load plus a couple of kids :)

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
