It was unusual to see 33 take offs making a rapid right turn out mid afternoon due to torrential downpours. Turning at around 1.000ft. I bet that caused a stir in Kingshurst and Chelmsley Wood.

BHX Holding pattern seem to be over Chipping Norton we have Jet2, FR and Buzz Holding unsure If a TUI will be joining here in Darlaston It is only minor rain but big cloud cover that Ex United A319 I saw lights but then it displays into the clouds. Never saw them hold over there, got the blues game they say the rain is heavy so guessing Brum weather is bad.

Flybe Did indeed divert due to a Medical Emergency Which Means the Cardiac Arrest might be linked. So once again well done for all saving the man and making it down safely. It did fly over my house but due to cloud I couldn't really see it.

Hey everybody,

Well I am on the flight currently on Stand 45 and we have a delay. Nothing to do with TUI or BHX. A Ryanair plane is stuck on the runway at Tenerife South and therefore huge congestion waiting to land at TFS. All planes are having to divert to ACE, FUE and of course LPA. The pilot has just announced we have to wait for a new slot and maybe on stand about 1 hour. Go pro ready and waiting once we start moving.

Looks like TUi to FUE snuck out in front of you, it's currently over Somerset 😦

In all seriousness I hope you get away soon :)

Just saw on FR24 Easyjet G-EZYU an A319 flying from Glasgow to Geneva squaked an emergency and went red on FR24 it has landed at Birmingham great to see Easyjet using BHX as a Diversion airport

I'm pretty sure the crew on this flight didn't care which airport they landed at.
I agree. As the old saying goes 'any port in a storm'. Although, looking back at the FR24 playback, the flight started descending just east of Banbury and continued south as far as St Albans before turning north and continuing to BHX.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
