Noticed on FR24 that EK37 (A6-ENH, Mon 7 Feb) diverted back to DXB, having got as far as the Turkish border. It's now due at 06:43 (Tue 8 Feb), operated by A6-EPT.

I don't know what happened, but I assume it wasn't too serious as it took it 2 hours to get back to DXB after turning around.

I would guess it was weather. It was originally due to depart at 15.00 ( hour and a half late) but the winds were at their peak then. I saw it finally leave at 16.30.

FR24 shows Ryanair FR2153 (B737-800, EI-EVE ALC - BHX) to have diverted into MAD.

It arrived at BHX about 1 hour and 30 mins late, so possibly a medical emergency rather than a technical problem.

We have a Wizz A321 on approach (HA-LXI) which was supposed to be flying from Gdansk to Luton according to FR24, however, the flight path shows no attempt to descend towards Luton which I think is a bit odd?

Also in a Swiss A220 diverted in from London City and a Ryanair A320 9H-LMW ex Lauda diverted from Stansted.

Aer Lingus A321LR G-EIRH operating Ei44 JFK-MAN has diverted in, It's a little bit windy around the Manchester area and QR21 just went around,, going over my flat. Possibly may venture to BHX if it cant get in.

Qatar21, DOH - MAN (B777-300, A7-BEQ), is diverting south from MAN and appears to be heading to BHX!
Currently 8000ft over Birmingham.

Confirmed!

QR21 (B777-300, A7-BEQ) landed at BHX at 07:35.

Having watched this on FR24, it made one approach to MAN, then climbed, heading north so I assumed it was heading to EDI. But it then turned and headed south -

The last few approaches to MAN have got in, but EI202 (EI-DEG, A320, DUB - MAN) has just made a go-around.

A Ryanair Cologne to Manchester has diverted to Stansted after holding over Buxton for quite a while. Slightly odd, as planes getting in to BHX ok so far with a stiff northwest gale.
