Shame the Cathay 350 is going to Heathrow :(

The virgin 333 and the etihad 777 going round in circles. They’ll wait it out!!
It seems to have left the hold and is heading south. However, it is maintaining altitude at FL180, so I suspect it's going to LHR.
Over 90 minutes of holding for VS110 at Manchester and then another 10m around Heathrow, that must be exhausting

EK17 heading south from Manchester after holding. Fingers crossed it's for B'ham rather than Heathrow.

Hi there all, I don't think Branson has ever liked Birmingham Airport at all, from what I heard in the past from an ex-virgin pilot, only use Birmingham Airport as very last resort, otherwise find next available airport to land.

Some years ago BHX bosses stated (when they were pushing for a 2nd runway) that they could be Londons proper 3rd airport, and stated they could easily get big long haul airlines to move flights from Heathrow to Birmingham.
Next day a surprisingly angry response from the 2nd in command at Virgin.Who replied if BHX was that good they would already have those airlines operating and they for one would not be moving any to BHX.
Bit of a slanging match after which made the front of the Birmingham papers.
We never seemed to recover a good relationship with them after that, and not many Virgin planes have diverted here since.
Few snow divs from LHR and some for MAEL/STS maintenence.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
