A few cancellations today with Eurowings gone, Lufthansa two cancelled and KLM one also cancelled.

Jet2 have only three departures with nine aircraft parked up +two still with STS.
TUI have only four departures all long/medium haul with 787s doing Cancun and Singapore with the Max doing Sharm -el- Sheikh and Boa Vista, all chasing the sun 🌞
I know G-JZBP is over with STS, but which is the other one?

Wizz Air A321-NEO (HA-LZR, W43015, OTP - LBA) diverted in, landing at approx 09:30. Due to depart to LBA at 10:14, but weather not looking good at LBA.
Singapore 52 an A350 en-route to Manchester diverted into EMA this morning.

I had thought at one stage it was heading on diversion to BHX but alas.

Suppose EMA Is a MAG group airport.

I cannot think of a single Singapore Airlines plane that has diverted into BHX in at least the last 25yrs.

Diversions go where the airline or handing agent want it to unless airport turn it down, to be honest suprised it didn`t go the Heathrow

Isn't there an issue with the turning circle of the A350 and BHX's runway?
The aircraft that diverted into EMA was an A350-900. Qatar have used A350-900's into BHX previously. Virgin used an A350-1000 to take the England football team out to the Qatar World Cup from BHX. All turns on taxiways at BHX comply with ICAO regulations. The only aircraft that I know of that exceeds the dimensions to be able to use the standard turns, is the A340-600.

Ryanair from Edinburgh to Bournemouth diverted in this morning arrived at 09:10 weather diversion. Have we ever had a Bournemouth diversion before?

Both Eurowings Düsseldorf flights are showing as 'cancelled' tomorrow, Looking at the TAF (Terminal Aerodrome Forecast), weather looks good at DUS.
I posted this a few days ago.
Lufthansa cancelled two out of three Frankfurt plus todays Munich along with the Eurowings Dusseldorf.

Information from Ian's blog ------
In the end only one Frankfurt didn't operate so hopefully the Eurowings Dusseldorf might operate.

Three weather diversions today

TUI 788 from Bridgetown
Aer Lingus AT76 from Dublin
Ryanair 737H also from Dublin

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
