Some very strong winds are forecast for tomorrow morning, two Stobart's have already been cancelled.

We may be in for some fun & games.

I'm surprised there's not more diversions - it's blowing a very strong westerly here in B14.

Arrivals from Munich LH2508 and Amsterdam KL1425 cancelled. Corresponding departures LH2509 and KL1426 are therefore also cancelled.

Just had a walk up to BHX and saw several go arounds.

Icelandair went around but managed to land on the next try. Same with EK39.

FR664 from Dublin is heading up to NCL.

QR33 looks as if it's diverting to STN.

So we have a Ryanair diverting to Newcastle, our Qatar diverts to Stansted and now we have a Ryanair from Stansted diverting here.

Looks as if FR664 has gone back to Dublin.

Several others landed OK recently including PIA and AF. Seems strange 787 could not manage it. Too light and bouncy?

A PIA 77W, Ryanair 738 (from STN), Air France A320 and Lufthansa A320 all just landed so hopefully the worst is over.

Easyjet A319 G-EZFF looks like it's heading our way from LPL.

A Monarch A321 has just gone around followed by a Ryanair.

Not to worry, it's safety. We've 60 mph gusts here not so far away and I'd prefer to wait in a safe harbouring airport for 1800 h when it's forecast to drop. Meanwhile we'lll probably pick up diversions form the east later today for the same reason.

I was in a 'missed approach' last Friday with Norwegian at TFS. That was with a 20mph easterly.
I guess the pilot has to call it as he sees it.

We had a nice divert in this morning, KLM 773 PH-BVA.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
