G-TOYD waiting to line up as the sun rises.

Very sad to see baby go. I've flown with them several times and never had a bad experience. Good luck to all the staff, hopefully the likes of Monarch and Jet2 have taken some on.

Already commented on this picture in the gallery. Superb last picture of Bmibaby, well done. :hatsoff:

Byebye baby. :sorry:

It was very sad listening to the last ever flights yesterday.

"For the very last time, baby xxx is clear for takeoff" 😢

I remember when Leeds based Capital Airlines went under back in the 90's and I watched the last scheduled aircraft land. During the weeks following, all the aircraft were parked up in a remote part of the airfield near to where one of the main spotting locations used to be. It was very eerie especially when the airline represented such a large proportion of the total flights Leeds had back then.

At least in this case, Bmibaby made up a relatively small proportion of the overall flights at Birmingham. It's very sad but life goes on as they say.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
