Unfortunately I missed it but Vueling used an A321 on today's Malaga! I believe it was filling in for a tech aircraft.View attachment 13392

No it isn't out yet.Don't know if I've missed it but is next year's pmi schedule out yet, only ask as we're looking to book late May early June, not sure when they're typically available to book?
Is Alicante on sale for the first part of next summer? Have Vueling routes to Malaga and Palma from other airports gone on sale for the first part of next summer? I have a vague notion that CWL routes have sometimes been slow in reaching the booking engine/timetable in some previous summers. There is some concern elsewhere that Vueling won't be returning on Malaga and PMI because neither are onsale yet i believe for Summer 2020. Many feel that this is the effect of Ryanair operating on AGP and that CWL isn't a big enough airport for 2 LCCs operating on the same route/routes. If i remember correctly then the rest of their summer schedule goes onsale in September so we'll know then if Vueling have dropped those routes, 1 of which they have no competition from a LCC.
Alicante is onsale yes. I've had a quick look at what they have onsale at malaga and it appears several destinations including Spanish destinations aren't onsale yet so Cardiff isn't alone. Personally I'd have thought if they were going to withdraw from Cardiff they'd drodrop everything which includes Alicante. Is Alicante on sale for the first part of next summer? I honestly don't know but they do seem to be taking over their non Spanish bases one by one and I wouldn't be surprised if IAG looked at them taking over or partly taking over bases like Malaga and Mallorca so Vueling could just focus on Barcelona and internal Spanish routes leaving level to the other's.Are Level taking over VYs Spanish bases?
Unless IAG are planning on shutting VY down I would've thought that would be VYs bread and butter and that Level would take on the European bases outside of Spain. Wasnt the AMS base taken over mainly due to crew/union issues?
It's a point to consider and Jerry has already responded. BTW, it's good to see you posting, Nuffsaid. We look forward to more contributions from you.Vueling have been going through some restructuring lately. It could simply be aircraft availability. Malaga is always popular and this could be a first phase of the timetable.
