Vueling are holding a competition for two free direct flights from CWL, for travel up until 13/12/24, to Alicante and Malaga, e-mail from CWL today.

I should have added above that Malaga, (according to the e-mail) will be operating Summer 24 although flights not yet published.

Well hopefully it will be put onsale soon!

I can't remember if this has been mentioned but Malaga is onsale in April. It's 2 weekly Wednesday and Saturday.

If the April schedule is what CWL will see for the whole of summer 2024 with Alicante at 3 weekly then potentially we're looking at no growth from Vueling for 2024 which may not necessarily be a bad thing as they've been cutting back recently. I suppose we can only hope they might still add frequency especially on Alicante a route desperate for flight frequency.

The route is now onsale through yo October 2024 2 weekly Wednesday and Saturday.

I’m noticing more and more that Vueling flights from CWL are often selling out a few days before departure. It’s still too early to tell how they will do throughout the summer but I think there’s certainly scope to increase the frequency to 4 weekly on ALC and 3 weekly on AGP. As I said I’m not sure if loads will drop now Ryanair are up and running on those two routes. I do think a lot of people prefer Vueling and usually can’t fault their service.

Vueling tend to be a bit more expensive but I found most of their flights are good times. Not too early departure from this end and afternoon departures from Spain. The telling sign will be if Ryanair deem their routes a success and change the timings or increase frequency. I would say Vueling has built up a good following of regular users, but there's still plenty that haven't heard of them. If the price is right hopefully it will bring back passengers using Bristol instead.

Having flown to ALC twice, once with EZY from BRS and the other with Vueling from Cardiff, I preferred Vueling and not because of flying from CWL. I found it a better service all round.

I’m hopeful for PMI and BCN. I wonder if they did Orly again if the numbers would be better now we’re not in covid times.

Problem with Orly is that they only have A321 based there and not A320s

Ah, I guess that is a problem as they wouldn’t be filled unless competing directly with easyJet at Bristol on price. Even then I guess It wouldn’t be frequent enough to attract passengers from over the bridge.

VY W24/25

Having checked my historic bookings, I have been able to book flights for the following February in the previous February, March and April.

I'm sure they're due out some day soon but we're almost in May - and it gets me on edge

✈️🇪🇸☀️

Vueling have added an extra flight on Friday 26th July to Alicante.

Obviously see demand for the start of the six weeks holidays. Every little helps and encouraging Cardiff are still in Vueling’s thoughts.

Hopefully not to long for Winter release. vueling always make me nervous how long they leave it that they won’t return!

It was this date last year that VY put winter on sale. Hopefully not too long to wait now as they are going to be loosing passengers to EZY and FR across the bridge for people liking to book early

Vueling going to 3 weekly to Malaga in September and October. I’d expect winter to be released today or tomorrow.
Only yesterday the airport communicated that ALC is on sale for W24/25 and I was beginning to get concerned about AGP; but with this new info, I'd suspect (and hope) AGP W24/25 release to be imminent too!

🇪🇸 ✈️ (y) ☀️

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
