Vueling has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for 4 additional Airbus aircraft but no dates provided and nothing says Cardiff will benefit any of these.

why should they. they have not stepped on vuelings toes YET.

I suppose Jerry might be suggesting that Vueling might want to 'get in first' with more rotations to ALC and AGP in particular in case Ryanair decides to dip its snout into some of them.

It's fairly common knowledge that airports, especially smaller ones, have to drive hard bargains with the likes of easyJet and Ryanair to get them on board, with the advertised landing charges etc going out the window. CWL has presumably done this with FAO which Flybe must realise. They'll have to be careful they don't put the airline's back up and the same applies with Vueling if Ryanair is interested in the likes of ALC and AGP (at BRS there was a falling out when easyJet trumped Flybe on some routes they were operating that never properly healed - Flybe left the airport and never really came back).

I could see at some of them being based in the Canaries as it looks like to do Canaries to the UK they have to overnight aircraft.

when is the 6 nations rugby.??
The Paris flights and FCO flights are on the Six nations weekends for the French and Italy game but with the Rome flights there is only those legs bookable on Vueling.com. Only thing I can think of is they are either chartering or sending an empty plane from either Amsterdam, Brussels or CDG/ORY.

Monday 6th February FCO-CWL 09.50-11.40
its sport related something,as its out Saturday back Monday.what ever it is it will give them a nice weekend break. the plane into cdf will be a position flight and the same from cdf, from which ever airport its operating from. is there nothing on the veuling site saying what it is. as to book something like that they would like to know why they going to fco.the time of year is not right for a standard city break. time will tell us.

The Paris flights are being operated by a Paris based aircraft therefore it is suitable to sell both sectors.

The Rome flights are having the aircraft position from elsewhere. The last time it was Gatwick and departed back to Gatwick.

Sad news from vueling today. They are shutting 3 bases at brussels, catania and Palermo.I just wonder if that will have any impact on cwl, as extra rotation on one of the routes already run,or they would look at a new route to cwl.I cant see them baseing at cwl,but something extra would be good.

I just read about that. They focusing more strategically on France, Spain and Italy. It does depend on where the planes get based. On another forum a poster said they were going to 5 weekly on BCN in July, August and September but the Sunday flights aren't bookable. If CWL is to benefit then hopefully they'll introduce FCO or a canaries route. Hopefully the crews of those aircraft will find employment soon!

Vueling July 2016 statistics.

Alicante 5787
Barcelona 5801
Malaga 5594
Palma de Mallorca 4963

Vueling flights to Paris and Rome are now being advertised!

Seems Cardiff undergoing a bit of tweaking too, as I can't seem to book Barcelona or Palma flights in 2017. Guess they are being re-timed or something and will be re-added in time.

On another site a poster said that BCN went up to 5 weekly during June July and August with the addition of a sunday flight but then it was dropped. Hopefully by the time Summer 17 comes round we'll have an increase though considering Flybe are doing FCO next year I don't think we'll get any new destinations from Vueling.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
