March passenger figures, Helvetic BRS-ZRH
CAA stats show that 866 passengers used the service in March 2013. I make it that 14 rotations (28 legs) were flown which gives an average load of 31, down on December's average load of 35 when I last reported the figures.
31 gives a load factor of 36.5% which doesn't seem great on the face of it though we don't know the average fares or how many sat in the front of the cabin.
In March 2012 when the route was a joint one with CWL the total number of passengers from the two airports was 839 (554 from BRS and 285 from CWL) so at least this is a slight improvement and the extra expense of carrying on to CWL and landing twice at BRS has been removed.
The route has increased from 3 x weekly to 4 x weekly from April and surprisingly, in view of the usual ultra efficiency of the BRS management, the large adverts for the route at the airport and on some Flyer buses still shows it as 3 x weekly, or did up until yesterday anyway as I saw at first hand.
