Same with the Belfast City flight and this evenings Heathrow could also be canned. I’m not sure of the reason but I wonder if it’s something to do with the ground crew shortage.?

Goes from bad to worse. If they dont get reliability issues sorted theres no way a codeshare will save the day.

The early southbound LBA-LHR "BEE1EP" was operated by G-JECY.
The northbound LHR-LBA "BEE752" was cancelled along with the "BEE7SD" LBA-BHD which was due to be operated by G-JECX which looks to have gone tech overnight in BHD.

Good news it looks like G-JECY is operating the BHX-BHD then will go into operate this afternoon's BHD-LBA "BEE2BP" and the "BEE7BU/BEE758" LBA-LHR-LBA rotation

The early southbound LBA-LHR "BEE1EP" was operated by G-JECY.
The northbound LHR-LBA "BEE752" was cancelled along with the "BEE7SD" LBA-BHD which was due to be operated by G-JECX which looks to have gone tech overnight in BHD.

Yeap just finished work and it looks like the was a change of plan. G-JECY has now worked BHD-LHR / LHR-BHD-LBA with the earlier delayed BEE2BP/BE737 service now showing due in LBA at 21:55.

At least this will get the night stopping aircraft back into LBA for tomorrow morning's early LBA-LHR

Me thinks they need some more aircraft, and soon! It was inevitable that they would have tech aircraft at some time and they don't have the spare aircraft to cover.
Perhaps they should have waited a while longer before starting up because they are in danger if getting their old Fly Maybe name back, which would be a shame.

Funny you should say that @White Heather , as the airlines 4th Aircraft Dash 8-Q,400, G-ECOR is to be ferried from Exeter to Birmingham at 10:00am as "BEE31M" tomorrow to enter service.

Meaning the airline will have a spare back up aircraft for when things go wrong like today.

Meaning the airline will have a spare back up aircraft for when things go wrong like today.

I wouldnt have thought such a small airline could afford to have an aircraft and crews sitting about doing nothing. Wont it be used to launch new routes?

The delayed delivery of the 4th (spare back up aircraft) G-JECP from Maastricht has caused must of the problems. Hence G-ECOR is been brought into service early as it wasn't due to enter revenue service for another 2 weeks.

I understand It was always Flybe's plan from the very get go to have at least 1 spare aircraft parked up at BHX for this very reason along with to continuing with crew training duties

Next batch of new routes to start are AMS-BHD & AMS-LHR on May 29th & BHD-EDI from June 23rd.

No as I've read G-FLBA is then next inline to join the fleet, she's been prepared for a ferry flight out of storage in Maastricht

Good recovery today after yesterday's disaster, as I see both this morning southbound LBA-LHR (G-JECY) and northbound LHR-LBA (G-JECX) landing bang on time.

And we are seeing plenty of bookings on BHD but not seen much on LHR yet. Let's hope that changes. Anyone got any update on pax numbers on LHR?

Eventually our beloved rag the YEP got around to publishing an article about Flybe yesterday, stating the flights commenced last week. They said up to 3 daily flights to LHR but only gave the departure times for the morning flights. Better than nothing I guess.

Of course they balanced this with a negative item about delays in security at the airport including the usual idiotic comments from passengers, such as comparing LBA with Rome Fiumicino! Not really a fair comparison. Huge airport. And Italian so no nonsensical UK Government to generate the problems they have in the UK aviation industry.
