As per my last post there's been a mix up somewhere with the flight numbers. Either way, whether it's the 755/756 that's operating or the 757/758 there's a hefty delay, but yes, a flight is operating.
Seems that LHR is confused by the fact the 2nd flight is not operating. LBA said it was the BE757 Southbound which seems logical.
I dont know where flight radar 24 takes its feed from (I assumed from data transmitted from the aircraft) but the flight number tag on flight radar showed 755 for the southbound and presumably 756 for northbound - which agrees with the data on the LHR arrivals/departure board.
Well my assumption is that FR24 is wrong. It is far from reliable when it comes to flight numbers or operating at all, regularly showing arrivals and departures that dont exist. Perhaps your dislike f the LBA arrivals and departures board colours your judgement? Why would Flybe operate a much earlier flight with an even greater delay with the later BE757/8 just vanishing completely? Surely the earlier flight was the one axed and the late evening flight operated. That's the one that normally operates during this period of two flights per day isn't it? I thought it was the additional (middle) rotation that isn't operating at present?
Certainly not a touchstone and it's not really worth pursuing this. I just like things to be right. A lifetime working in Customs compliance made me that way!
Let us hope that returning to a 3 per day stops the tit for tat comments about the Flybe LBA-LHR service. Assuming it runs to schedule that is!
Lets hope its not just the threat of a rail strike.
