Conformation that The Indian Brewery will be opening in Feb.

I've always found their locations in Central Birmingham to be excellent so really looking forward to trying this out 👍

As I've bumped this thread has anybody used the new Indian Brewery yet, wondering if it's as good as their other sites?

Passed by it a couple of weeks ago looked very nice but not open as it was 5am. disappointing that they have removed some of the seating from the pier particularly at the far end where you get the best view across the airport.

While I'm at it the departure process was excellent 9/10 only downside was the tin hut Jet2 use. Returned yesterday and unfortunately it was a dismal experience won't bother detailing it but 90 min to clear the terminal just poor all round.

As i was leaving work last night,the new Wagamama outlet was being prepared for handover.This brings a new and popular high street brand into BHX for the first time.The outlet is situated along the airside pathway between the 2 terminals.It offers a view across the airport and runway for diners choosing to eat in.I am sure an official statement will be released in the coming days to mark the event.Also,the big refurb of the duty free store is almost complete.This will probably come as a relief to people who travel through BHX regularly. To say the route from security to the departure lounge could get very busy and for some,a bit claustrophobic is an understatement.There is still work going on,but many projects are approaching completion.We will just have to wait and see what is next on the agenda to improve the airside experience.I believe there are plenty of things that could be done to improve the lounge area,but it depends on many factors going forward.For now though,it is great to see things improve,particularly getting folk from security into the lounge area.

The one which concerns me is the Indian Brewery as despite the departure lounge being packed there was absolutely nobody in it. The unit is lovely but the location isn't ideal as most people only walk up that way once heading to their gate. I'd like to see some signage in the lounge area as if there is any then I certainly didn't notice it (plenty of Wagamama signs). Hopefully people walking past will make a mental note for the next time they travel and it'll start to pick up.

Surely it can't be too much longer until we hear who is taking up the other units? I know Mrs F is desperate for Frankie & Benny's to return.
