Interesting to see how this one develops....x3 carriers to VIE sounds a bit too much - look what happened to MAD. I wonder why EZY didn't go for an un/under-served route to replace Moscow.

I cant see Austrian lasting long on the daily MAN-VIE route starting this september.
Also Easyjet have added a 3rd daily flight to the Monday MAN-AMS service,.this is on top of the 3rd daily fri and sun flights.
Information has been read on another forum thank you

Bratislava could have been an option - I know it's close to Vienna but still. Bucharest? Seville? There are probably several destinations that could handle a bit of competition.i

I dont know what it happening with airlines, loads of routes are over served like AMS,VIE,BCN with 3-4 airlines serving them 3-4 daily. But routes like youve mentioned with no services at all.Maybe they are in the pipeline for Easyjet or Jet2 to serve them from MAN i dont know?

More growth from Easyjet Basil goes from 5 weekly flights to daily from 15th Febuary 2016.

Only for one week then back down to 5 per week again.

Easyjet have some decent increases next year. I won't bore with most as I'm not sure anyone reads/cares anyway, but, the most interesting is that Amsterdam rises from 13 to 22 weekly, with 4 daily on Mon/Fri/Sun.

That means MAN-AMS is now 16 daily on some days. That in itself is impressive, but when you consider LPL airport just 30 miles away also has 7-8 daily, so at 24 daily from the North a West to Amsterdam, that's a lot of capacity!

Whether that can be maintained is another question.

I don't know what the carriers are trying to achieve on Amsterdam?

Easyjet will have up to 4 daily, Flybe 5 daily and KLM 7 daily.

We know what's in it for KLM, but, Flybe and Easyjet cannot keep up their pace.

Incidentally, Easyjet will definitely be 10 based next summer, but possibly 11 based as the schedules require 11 based on Saturday, and, the schedule is very tight to fit any new routes with, to which Easyjet have given us at least 3 every year since the based opened, and they haven't announced any new routes yet. Last year they gave us 5 routes.

Easyjet have added a 6 weekly Milan MXP, 9 weekly Paris CDG and 2 weekly Olbia for next summer.

Easyjet will add a 2 weekly Gibraltar from July 3rd.

This brings them to 44 routes with 11 aircraft so far.

And Easyjets 45th route is a good one.

Tivat in Montenegro 2 weekly from June 2016.

This will be the only easyjet route to Tivat, not served from any other of their airports.

Montenegro airways were due to launch this route last year but didn't, so nice to finally have a confirmed option.

Easyjet seem to have added a 2nd weekly Lyon on Tuesday's for the month of February.

With the announcement of a seasonal Palma base for 2017, would this have implications for MAN's service? I wonder if it would be more advantageous to get a more touristy route to operate PMI-MAN-PMI in off peak times to allow them to go after slightly more business orientated routes which the premium operating costs during peak times could be more readily absorbed?

I would say that it could also be used to boost frequency.

Easyjet is almost 'the ugly duckling' on the Palma route compared to other carriers at Manchester, with other carriers offering much greater flexibility and frequency.

Easyjet operate the route at 5 weekly, whereas Ryanair are 2 daily, Jet2 and Thomson up to 4 daily and Thomas Cook and Monarch up to 3 daily.

To offer full flexibility, Easyjet would be better offering at least a full daily schedule and possibly adding some away based flights could do that.

Not only that, holiday makers love the early flights, they are big money spinners. Moving to say an 1100 departure again in the face of all the other carriers that offer an early morning flight might not be so frugal.

Wonder if Easyjet would consider DBV from Manchester in the near future. There seems to be plenty of demand, JET2 now fly 4 times a week in the summer season with no competition, aside from a few TOM flights which all seem to arrive there on the same day, since MON dropped the route last year.

I think Easyjet opted to serve Tivat over Dubrovnik from Manchester, given they are in roughly the same area.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
