There is also a GVA which departs a little later but is a based flight:

MAN 1050 GVA 1340
GVA 1415 MAN 1510

Even if that uses say, a BFS/AMS flight, I can categorically state there will be at least 12 based next summer. I have seen stand plans, recruitment requirements and other items which all show this.

The GVA at 1050 is the returning AMS at 1015 and the second AMS at 1110 is the returning CDG at 1035.

As to further based A/C I hope you are right but as I say the present timetable looks to only require 11

EZY have for the last few years been adding based A/C in June/July therefore there is a strong possibility that an extra A/C will be based as you say from late June.

They have updated their schedules for peak summer. I don't vouch that this is entirely accurate but there are some modifications for example in the late August/early September schedules compared to early June that I'd checked previously.

Frequency Reductions: BFS, CPH, HAM, MXP and PSA all seem to lose 1 flight a week.

Frequency Increases: I reckon the following show 1 extra flight per week:
AYT, BSL, CFU, GIB, OLB.

DLM is up 2 from 3 to 5 x weekly.

Initially, from my June list, I thought JTR and SKG were also plus 1, but the schedules now show the same for May/June.

I've no idea whether the new program can be achieved with the current 11 based, but what I did notice is that the reductions are all shorter sectors whereas the increases include three of the longer routes to Turkey and Greece.

Maybe someone will spot some other changes, but no indication yet of any new routes.

Bilbao also gets 1 extra flight, 5 versus 4.

There is to be 12 based next summer, and later this month, the extra aircraft is to be announced during the investor presentation.

Looking at Easyjet first week of August, 12 aircraft needed for first wave on Mon/Wed/Sat.

11 needed Tue/Thu/Fri and 10 needed Sun.

Fits in with the info I was told that MAN would be 12 based next summer.

I have also taken a look.

From late July 12 aircraft are needed. However at present I can't make a great deal of sense of the overall picture. Clearly there are gaps which could be filled with some new routes but the number are uncertain. It looks like some more adjustments are to come.

Easyjet has today said Manchesterr will be one of 5 bases to see 'double digit growth' in 2017.

Whether that translates into more that 12 based aircraft remains to be seen, but, must do as 1 extra based is only an increase of 9% (I say 'only', but we are looking for 10% or more to be 'double digit' growth. 2 aircraft is 18% so definately one to watch.

It would help. As of now, just Belfast and Geneva seem to use away based aircraft, plenty of opportunities for non-based.

That's right. I'm sure a 12th based a/c combined with a few more flights with non-based could supply 10% or more growth in capacity. It would also help a little if the 12th a/c was an A320 and perhaps if one or two existing A319s were replaced by A320s if a route justified it. What is it - 180 seats vs 155 or thereabouts?

The other possibility is extra daily rotations if there is a higher proportion of shorter sector routes.

As one of only 5 airports with double digit growth in 2017, MAN is in impressive company, the others being London, Venice, Berlin and Amsterdam.

I must admit that when I looked at the schedules a few weeks ago, it struck me that one or two more services were with away based a/c but I didn't make a note at the time. Checking some dates in early June, I came up with 229 weekly departures, but that will no doubt have changed with peak season now having been loaded and hopefully a bit more to be announced.
