LPA & ACE are staple winter routes. Tbh these two routes alone should get preference over any other for this coming winter season.
Both of the routes were bought up, ACE was decided that there was to much competition and not enough demand to warrant operating the route and for LPA was meant to happen this winter but higher up managers decided to not go for it this winter with it being moved to potentially Summer 2025

Crazy thinking.....LGW or for that matter any of the easy bases have flights to ACE....all have lots of competition. The mind boggles....

It’s honestly is , But everyone at Easyjet said they messed up not opening a base here earlier when Monarch and Thomas cook went bust and Jet2 moved in everyone feels the company is 2 steps behind everyone else.

I’m saying new routes .We only have 10 routes from Birmingham serving Italy and I feel the airport is desperate to expand.
Genoa
Palmero
Rome
Rome is already served by Jet2 but I am sure there is demand for easyjet and/or Ryanair too
I very much doubt the other two, more likely Naples but again already served by Jet2 & Tui
I think it will be late November/early December until we hear from easyjet about new routes.

EZY release new routes across its network on a weekly basis without the fanfare of "Big news coming soon..." As much as us BHX AvGeeks would love it too, i suspect it wont be new routes ...infact the new BHX Base wasn't even "Big News!"

I'd definitely be using a service to Rome.

As much as I love Jet2 their flight only prices can be eye watering at times and their city breaks can mean either four of us crammed into one hotel room or we split the family between two rooms. Flight only and a two bed apartment is much more preferable.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 2nd time
