How funny is this, just as Im talking about Easyjet, they have just emailed me with a change of flight time for my day return plane spotting trip in May 2022. I was meant to go on this flight in May 2020, lol

Hopefully by May 2022 EDI will be back up to almost normal operations :)

I wouldn't be surprised to see PMI, AGP and/or FAO, especially after recent articles suggesting expansion in Europe.

Not sure about CFU, I think it did okay considering the circumstances but it's whether they can accommodate it without a BHX base. NQY will be a big loss if it's gone.

Sorry to see them drop Jersey, although I suppose it was inevitable. Went over half term and the flight was full both ways. Be nice to have them back, although keeping Newquay would be rather nice too.

Summer 2023 holiday on sale and the only option from BHX is AMS !
So no Palma etc - yet ?

And now Flybe are back, I suspect Easyjet will continue its expansion at airports like BRS where they have alreday added an extra aircaft for 2022 whilst at BHX there is talk of an extra 1 route to PMI if we are lucky.

The exact reason why I see the return of Flybe as an irritant rather than a :) with high fares and plastic props buzzing around.

EZY is away based at bhx so it will depend on when all those other bases are confirmed, my personal view is s23 earliest for any type of bhx based units

you can now use easyJet flights out of BHX to connect onto Virgin services. The example they cite is BHX-MO in July.

What you do is this....

easyJet departs Birmingham at 07:50 arrives Manchester 09:05
Virgin Atlantic departs Edinburgh 11:20 for Orlando 16:15
Virgin Atlantic departs Orlando 18:45 arrives Manchester 07:30+1
easyJet departs Belfast at 09:30 arrives Birmingham 10:35

Have taken a screenshot of this before they change it

I think you mean dept BHX arr EDI not MAN !
I would prefer a Virgin aircraft actually at BHX - but little chance of that despite the demand being here.

I'm baffled!
The return route would seem to indicate MCO - MAN - BFS - BHX (although I've net checked flights to see if the times work). I can't see many people being happy to do that.

Its got to be one of the biggest PR errors by an airline. There's no way you could do either suggested route if you have a "missing link" to negotiate before the final flight.

It's definitely got to be BHX-EDI-MCO return MCO-BFS-BHX

Ian,

David isn’t the one who made the error, that is exactly what the Virgin press release states as an example routing. And hence why he has pointed it out as rather baffling.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
