Palma anyone? Or another rotation to Alicante? Then add on another rotation later on in the day with the ALC based unit? SO 1900 arr and 1925 dep. or earlier.

According to a notifiction received by one of my daughters from Ryanair, her Friday 14.15 flight to Weeze has been moved to 07.20. Looks as though the LBA based aircraft will do the rotation viz the Weeze based aircraft.

Interesting!

I know Ryanair is renowned for changing flights on the run-up to the season starting but is it unusual for them to change things after the season has started?

As an adendum my daughter has changed her flight to the Jet 2 flight to the real Dusseldorf in the evening.

Hi further update regarding Ryanair Scheduled changes.

As I previously mentioned the Thursday Venice-Treviso rotation has now been dropped for the summer schedule so the route will operate only 2x weekly on a Tuesday and Saturdays.
The slot that has become free on Thursdays for one of the based aircraft has now been filled with a peak summer 3rd weekly flight to Limoges which will run only between the following dates = 02/08/12 to 30/08/12

FR2328 Leeds 07:45 - Limoges 10:30
FR2329 Limoges - 10:55 Leeds 11:40

Meanwhile the Friday Dusseldorf-Weeze has only been re-scheduled to an earlier time as from 18/05/12 and will continue to be operated by a non-based aircraft.

Current Scheduled (Runs until May 11th)
FR1502 Dusseldorf 13:25 - Leeds 13:50
FR1501 Leeds 14:15 - Dusseldorf 16:40

Revised Schedule (As from May 18th)
FR1502 Dusseldorf 06:30 - Leeds 06:55
FR1501 Leeds 07:20 - Dusseldorf 09:45

I flew with Ryanair to and from Dublin today and were impressed with how things went. Despite a few setbacks like announcing boarding way too early, waiting to get on the plane and waiting for the plane to land in Dublin for the flight back to Leeds, everything went smoothly with both flights land on time. Both flights were at least half full and I would like to know the passenger loads for FR153 and FR156 if its possible. I think Ryanair need to re-introduce the 3rd daily flight to Dublin again cause the route is a huge success in my opinion.

It looks like Ryanair have cancelled both the Wednesday evening Malaga and Murcia flights for the next 3 few weeks, As there are no Wednesday flights to either destination throughout May and right up until 6th June for some reason.

I can only guess that they must be struggling to fill the aircraft up.

They've axed one of the evening BRS-AGP flights each week in May too, on Tuesdays. The remaining six days each week appear to be operating. They don't operate to Murcia from Bristol - easyJet does.

Seems odd given the news today that the UK bad weather and an improving Euro exchange rate has seen a surge in bookings across the market to Euro sun areas from this country.

My parents friends were due to fly to MJV with Ryanair today, with my parents joining them on the Jet2 tomorrow. Ryanair only informed passengers last week that they were cancelling the Wednesday MJV flight due to "commercial reasons" and were given a refund. They had to go today to get the apartment ready so their only option was to book on the Ryanair Alicante flight, as the Jet2 was fully booked. This cost them an extra £80 each plus they have to get a taxi from Alicante to Murcia as that is where their holiday car is parked. They were really quite annoyed, clearly the flights are not selling as well as hoped but they have been on sale for months, why wait until the week before to cancel!

This is why they needs to some form of regulation saying that an airline cannot cancel a flight 2 weeks before departure unless there is a crew shortage or aircraft shortage.

All sounds good and well Concorde Lover but wouldn't that lead to airlines not bothering to offer flights at all on not so busy days? Surely it's more responsible to cancel flights than to operate flights that are nearly empty. (if that is indeed the case...any one?)

I don't know the circumstances that caused Ryan to cancel but so shoot me down if you feel like it but sounds like insufficient "top money" seats sold 'so bugger you lot you only paid peanuts so don't bother moaning'

Only what anyone booking with Ryan should expect when things aren't working out the way Ryan wanted.

I won't say I told you so (but I did). Cowboys.

I wouldn't class them as cowboys. Their fleet is top notch. However what would have sweetened the sour blow is alternative arrangements with flights. So sorry you can't travel on Wednesday anymore on LBA-MJV/AGP , but we can offer you space on our Tuesday/Thursday flights if you would like to? Alternatively we can offer you the flights to MJV/AGP from EMA/MAN, and would like to offer you £10/20/30/40 (depending on air fare they paid) PP to cover such travel costs. Any PR, FR PR, is good PR for them so I guess this is why sometimes they don’t really care what they do. Pay peanuts get monkeys however.

I'm not a big fan of Ryanair but it's fair to point out that other airlines do this sort of thing as well.

For example, the Spanish airline Vueling that recently commenced operating between Barcelona and Cardiff has cancelled several rotations in April and May after originally advertising them and presumably booking some passengers on them.

It's believed that 'commercial reasons' is the driving force there too.

I can't think of any law or regulation that airlines might contravene by doing this sort of thing. It certainly isn't good customer relations though but then again does Ryanair care a jot about that?

They know that they are the only airline that operates to many destinations from smaller airports around the UK and other parts of Europe and, despite their uderstandable complaints in such circumstances, many passengers will still book with them again because they have little choice.

looks like ryanair is cutting all routes from Kos and Rhodes in Oct 2012, i wonder what will replace kos..

To me they are cutting in one month early, and this is an excuse as forward bookings may not be going well. It does not once mention that they will be cut from Summer 2013 programme, however wait & see.

If it is to be, then like xboy has mentioned eastern european routes will do well from LBA as a gap for Kos, but also as routes year round from LBIA.

A blow for the airport in terms of increased competition and offerings for these destinations...

The only good news out of this is that Ryanair are cancelling all of these flights, so it's not like LBA is losing out to any other airports...

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
