If you do that, what about mandatory RESA?? Wasn't that why it had to be moved in the first place?? I recall that to leave it where it was would have entailed filling in the small reservoir and creating the aforesaid overrun/undershoot safety area.
…….and it allowed the installation of Cat3 approach lighting to improve operational reliability.

Unfortunately this is a time where MOL/Ryanair wish they'd gone with the 321NEO over the MAX10. The 321NEO would be less restricted into some airfields then the MAX10 is clearly going to be.
It goes against what MOL has said all along, being able to operate from all the smaller cheaper regional airports has always been a major plus for Ryanair bringing cost down. Being limited to certain larger airfields with long perfectly flat runways isn't the sort of thing MOL usually does. Only recently MOL said in an interview he felt like "Ryanair had robbed Boeing" making the order during the pandemic at a knocked down price. Whether he will eventually regret the move remains to be seen.

Not forgetting though that Ryanair will be operating a mixed fleet of 738s, Max 8-200s and Max 10s, so still plenty of aircraft that can operate out of airports not suitable for the Max 10. Plus MoL has stated he would like more Airbus aircraft in the fleet, over and above those currently operated by Lauda.

Ryanair operate from a lot of big airports and on high demand routes. I expect that's where the MAX 10s will go.

Be interesting to know how the B737 max10 handles once certified, the aircraft is almost as long as the A321 but lower to the ground and with the same size wing as other 737 types! 🤔
It's a good point that and I am sure you once said that Boeing missed a trick by not doing a modern(ised) 757 which I also agree with.
If we finish up with a 3 or 4 Max8 FR base then happy with that

I dont think LBA will ever see the Max 10 given its obvious operational limitations. What is the point? We don't need an aircraft that will atruggle on hot days, wet days, crosswind days etc., leading to passenger disruption and delays. The Max 8 suits LBA perfectly in terms of capacity and performance, and ideally we get a 4th based unit when things improve in the aviation world.

and the Max 8 is a lovely aircraft to fly on as well......as is their cabin service out of the Leeds base..oh yes and the app food ordering system works very well on the Max..We tried it a few weeks ago and its a pretty good to your seat service..Different to Jet2 but not bad..I think other bases for Ryanair might not be so good, but LBA is top notch..and dsare I say, in some respects better than Jet2..

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
