Ok couldn't find a thread for them so I'll start one...

Today, around 11.15 I heard a second US Airways 757 fly over my house from Glasgow today. Callsign AWE9190. Was that possibly a tech aircraft from yesterday or something else?

Hi Scott, according to http://www.helloflight.com/flight/AWE9190.cfm it was a scheduled flight from Glasgow to Philadelphia. What was the flight code/callsign of the first US Airways?

was US769 I believe... the regulary scheduled one. I looked up the US9190 on Flightaware... and there was 4 recent flights, two domestic A321 flights, one an A330 from Manchester to Philadelphia and one was the one I mentioned...

US9*** flight numbers are usually ones positioning after a tech issue, hence why the flights are so varied.

They use the 9*** number as its completely separate from their scheduled flight numbers, so no mix uos for passengers.

Therefore, the GLA 9190 flight was a positioner back to PHL after a tech issue.
