Lots of extra departures this weekend for the Christmas getaway:
- extra TCX aircraft based with today seeing departures to TFS and AYT.

-15x based EZY aircraft all fully operating (48 departures today!)

- TUI has one flight today but TUI B738 (G-FDZE) arrives empty from NCL late this evening to overnight. (I count 4x early TUI departures tomorrow - Rovaniemi, Verona, Salzburg, Geneva)

- ENT B738 (SP-ESA) arrived from BHX to overnight ready to operate to Sofia tomorrow.

Must be a good chance of this one being picked up for a year-round operation by someone. Wizz Air operated year-round and loads were high. Need to find a way of matching the undoubted market with the yield.

So there was. I missed that one. Four flights to Sofia in one day. I know it's Christmas and the start of ther ski season but there is clearly a market to be tapped.

Was a very busy day today with lots of extra departures for the Christmas getaway plus ski flights:

-15x based EZY aircraft all fully operating. There was 41x departures today using the based 5x A319 and 10x A320 (incl. 1x A32N)

- TUI operated 6x departures today.

TUI B738 (G-FDZE) arrived empty from NCL on Friday, overnighted and operated to SZG at 8:00am (before returning to NCL)​

TUI B738 (G-FDZS) operated a W-pattern from CMF (based in EXT)​

TUI B752 (G-CPEV) arrived empty from BHX at 6:00am and operated to GVA at 8:00am (before returning to BHX)​

TUI B752 (G-OOBH) arrived back empty from MAN at 1:00am and operated to TRN and FUE (now based)​

TUI B752 (G-OOBN) operated a return Lapland charter to Rovaniemi, Finland and remains based​

- 2x Austrian Airlines A320 (OE-LBM/LBU) operated from/to Innsbruck, Austria

- Enter Air B738 (SP-ESA) arrived from BHX at midnight and operated 2x Sofia roundtrips. It again overnights.

Was another busy day today with lots of extra departures for the Christmas getaway plus ski flights:

- 15x based EZY aircraft all fully operating. There was 50x departures today using the based 5x A319 and 10x A320 (incl. 1x A32N)

- TUI operated 4x departures today.
TUI B752 (G-OOBH) operated a return Lapland charter to Kittilä, Finland and then a return ACE
TUI B752 (G-OOBN) operated a return AGP and then a return TRN

- 1x Flybe E175 (G-FBJK) operated a W-pattern from from Reus, Spain. It was meant to go to Lleida but diverted.

3x Enter Air aircraft operated from BRS today:
- Enter Air B738 (SP-ENG) arrived from Enontekiö, Finland at 6:30pm. It departs to Poznan early Monday morning.
- Enter Air B738 (SP-ENM) arrived from ABZ at 6:50am and operated to and from CMF. It overnights.
- Enter Air B738 (SP-ESA) overnighted and departed to Enontekiö, Finland at around 7:20am this morning. It arrived back at 10:30pm this evening to overnight.

In terms of Ski flights, I make 17 departures:
4x GVA (EZY A320)
2x TRN (EZY A320 / TUI B752)
1x INN (EZY A320) diverted to MUC

Further to the previous post, the BRS website showed two easyJet departures to Kittila, an easyJet to Grenoble, an easyJet to Vienna and a Ryanair to Bucharest, all of which serve ski destinations to a greater or lesser degree.

It was the ski flight to Lleida from BRS that diverted to Reus - see Severn's post #451 above.

Strange as it was final boarding for Lleida when the flight from Reus was due to land about 40 mins later. Either they used 2 aircraft or the dep/arr boards were wrong again.

Wednesday 26th December 2018
- Enter Air B738 (SP-ESA) which has been in BRS since the 23rd departed empty to LGW at 7pm
- TUI Airways (G-OOBF) operated a return Lapland charter to Kittilä, Finland

Thursday 27th December 2018
- Titan Airways A320 (G-POWM) arrived from Ivalo, Finland at 4:40pm and departed empty to LGW at 4:30pm

Airbus's new BelugaXL will will fly over the Filton plant next Thursday (14 February) on its way to Hawarden. It will be the first UK flight for the BelugaXL.

The time of the flight will be announced later.

There was some video on the local ITV News at teatime.

The below Bristol Post report contains some pictures and an embedded video of the flypast. Seems to be pics of the aircraft over the Severn Crossing and the video shows it overhead Filton.
