First day of "summer" and the airports IT system has a meltdown...causing delays galore!

Yikes. :sneaky:

B767-300, CS-TSU of EuroAtlantic Airways is currently positioning to BRS, inbound from LIS.
It's using the flight number TOM634P and will presumably be operating tomorrow for TUI.

787-10 (N8290V) in Vietnam Airways colour scheme has been doing lots circuits, low approaches and go-arounds this afternoon at BRS. This aircraft is Boeings Sustainable Aviation Fuel testbed and apparently will be doing approaches at various fields whilst based in the UK (out of STN).

I bet that was a sight worth seeing. Any photos anybody?
Lots of photos on Bristol spotting Facebook group.

It visited again today, for the third day running so by now lots of spotters at the airport and those in the local area have seen it going over!

On Friday it flew from STN to LHR, then to BRS for circuits and back to STN.

On Saturday it flew from STN to LHR, then to BRS for circuits, then back to LHR and finally STN.

Today it routed from STN direct to BRS, did circuits and then to LHR. It then departed and did one circuit and returned to LHR before later heading back to STN.

If you look back through it’s flight history on FR24 you can see just how many circuits it completed over the last few days.

Wamos Air A330-300 (EC-NTX) arrived from MAD on Monday afternoon and then operated the evening TUI departure to BOJ (normally operated by a B38M).
It arrived back from BOJ at 03:32 which was a couple of hours before the TUI 787-8 arrived from CUN. Both are currently sat next to each other covering stands 24-26.

Widebodies are no longer a rare encounter at BRS with TUI's 787s being based daily this summer, plus Boeings 787-10 testbed completing many approaches over the past week.
Maybe next on the hit-list for BRS could be the likes of a Middle-Eastern carrier or even a US-carrier?

Anyone know why a Qatar Executive Gulfstream landed at BRS this evening, or am I hoping for too much.
They do operate independently of the airline and, as result, I would not set my hopes too high. Probably just an executive flight, which I'm sure BRS do see a few of.

As @Scottie Dog pointed out, Qatar Executive operate a fleet of executive jets which operate completely separately from the airline. QatarExec G650s are seen on a regular basis at BRS operating executive charters, unfortunately not related with Qatar Airways

From the spotting group on facebook:

•757 due in on june 28th

•typhoons in from 4th-6th of july for swansea airshow
Glastonbury Festival starts Thursday, with the main acts Friday to Sunday. I assume there’ll be plenty of biz-jet and heli traffic as usual during this period, and my guess the 757 will be a “main stage” act arriving for the festival?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
