Would that be because CWL is less busy and therefore the Red Arrows could be accommodated more easily?

yes it is! there apparently is too much General Aviation going on this weekend which is a shame! I do like it when they turn up. Brightens my usual routine day at work!

GA will be up this week because of the Galsto festival. May see some unsual planes turn up at the last minute

Did anyone get any video footage? I did see one from a previous departure. Would like to see her land..

City Jet Sukhoi Superjet 100 too - interesting day.
Was that CityJet on the Innsbruck? Mayfly still showing it as an ARJ85.

Many thanks.

Ryanair's "National Express" plane EI-EMK is currently operating their flight to Krakow. The Ryanair titles have been added back on to the fuselage and only part of the National Express decoration is left o_O

Best time to spot at BRS?

Fridays are currently just about the busiest time for arrivals at BRS with 24 scheduled in the near two-hour period between 1125 and 1315.

I was walking the combes and woods around the airport again today and spent just over an hour in Winters Lane at the western end of the airport from around 1135. The airport was consistently busy with arriving traffic and at one time there were at least 18 passenger aircraft parked on the apron.

I’m not a spotter although I enjoy seeing aircraft in their natural environment, including at airports, but for those who do like a variety of types and airlines the fare might be considered a touch tedious. The 18 aircraft I mentioned consisted of 10 easyJet Airbuses (319s and 320s), 5 Ryanair Boeing 738s, 1 Thomas Cook A321, 1 Aer Lingus Regional ATR 72 and 1 bmi regional E145.

The WOW A 320 to Keflavik was also parked at one stage and took off during the busy succession of arrivals.

Had I waited another half hour I would have seen a Blue Islands/Flybe ATR 42, an Aurigny ATR 72 (both running over an hour late), 2 Thomson Boeing 757s, a KLM City Hopper E190 and another easyJet Airbus.

So despite the relative sameness I still saw six different airlines and it would have been eight had two aircraft been on time, with two other airlines in around one o’clock.

So for anyone interested Friday lunchtime is as good a time as any to see some aviation action on the runway in the North Somerset mountains, unless someone wants to get up at some unearthly hour to see the procession of around 30 departures in the two hours from 0600.

Addendum

Saturday 30 July 2016

Mayfly is showing an Austrian A 319 from Vienna arriving at 1130, departing 1215 for Vienna via Shannon.

I'm not aware of any regular Vienna flights other than easyJet's 2 x weekly (M and F).

FR24 showing this evenings bmi regional BM1808 from Aberdeen operated by Loganair Saab 2000, G-LGNR. As Logan and bmi regional are in common ownership I suppose this should not come as a great surprise.

You certainly are. FR24 shows this aircraft operating to Naples for TOM today.

Its scheduled departure time was 1525 but it left at 1800 as you pointed out.

I hadn't realised until now that Monday afternoons see four TOM departures within an hour:

1450 Corfu with based B757
1525 Dalaman with based B738
1525 Naples with non-based B738
1550 Ibiza with based B757

Naples is on a 'W' diagram but i'm not sure which its originating airport is.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
