A nice video of VT-ANH arriving and departing. It shows just what a great spot the new viewing area is, and how the fence is a bit of a pain.

This video features the arrival and departure of Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-300, TC-JNK, as it visits Birmingham Airport in place of the usual 737 and A321 series aircraft. Turkish Airlines have recently announced an expansion of their Birmingham-Istanbul route to 12 weekly in 2015.

Also making an appearance is Emirates Boeing 777-300ER, A6-ENW on the lunch time arrival from Dubai as EK39. Video filmed Friday 19th December 2014.

Turkish A330

That is one AWESOME Video, thanks for sharing. Gonna watch that over and over again.
What perfect timing too, having the A330 at the end of runway 33 with the EK arriving too, these moments are why i love BHX despite some of its faults, you wouldnt get this at EMA or BRS or LTN, or STN.

Awesome :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

TURKISH A330

This one is even BETTER.

There's some great footage on there, I love the sound of those engines on the United 757 on 1:55.

It shows what a great spot the new viewing area is.

And yeah, those United 757s. Soon we will have the Icelandair 757s too. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Here's a really great video from flugsnug of slow motion touch downs. Fascinating to watch.

And a similar video but with just A330's.

It seems that if the pilot 'misses' the hump before the drop-offs in the runway then the planes can travel quite a distance before meeting the runway again. This seems particularly noticeable when landing from the bypass end where first touchdown appears to be opposite the old crossing runway which seems a heck of a long way down considering the recent runway extension!

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
