bmi regional announce further enhancements to Bristol - Munich schedule with a 2nd daily flight on Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays from Tuesday 3rd February.

Dep BRS 1855 - Tuesday & Thursday
Dep BRS 1725 - Fridays
Arr BRS 2325 - Tuesday & Thursday
Arr BRS 2155 - Friday

The return arrivals into Bristol on Tuesday and Thursday seem really late, but I guess this could be due to slot allocation at Munich. Only time will tell if this will prove positive or not.
But good to see further increases in ATM's as mentioned by TheLocalYokel with reference to increasing passenger numbers in 2015.

Thanks for that alphagolf. I wonder if the routes currently on offer (ABZ, FRA, MUC and HAM) are those that will form the basis of bmi regional's BRS network in the future having discarded HAJ and apparently MXP. ABZ, FRA and now MUC will all see significantly expanded frequencies next year with HAM at 2 x daily and no LH code share probably at its reasonable limit.

I'm still optimistic that another route or two might appear for 2015.

As the Munich new service is an evening timing is there enough time for a dusseldorf and Zurich as well

I suppose it depends on how many aircraft and crew the airline intends to base at BRS next year. There is a lot of talk of an expanded base.

They have 12 new crew in training this month. In the past year they have taken over 20 new cabin crew plus extra flight crew.
It looks like BMI will be getting some extra aircraft with 2 being parted out for spares.

Munich now double daily mon to fri from next summer

From the end of March (from February in some cases) the bmi regional frequencies from BRS will be as follows:

ABZ and FRA both 3 x daily Monday to Friday - fewer at weekends
MUC and HAM both 2 x daily Monday to Friday - fewer at weekends
MXP Monday and Friday

Summer charters 2015

It seems from the Inghams website that they will be operating a separate flight again to Verona on summer Saturdays, operated by bmi regional as in summer 2013. In summer 2014 Inghams took seats on the TUI flight to Verona operated by Mistral. This coming summer the Mistral B 734 to Verona will still operate for Thomson Lakes & Mountains holidays.

bmi regional will again operate Sunday flights to Bastia for Corsican Holidays.

Next week

Mayfly shows the extended bmi regional operation for the coming summer with some flights starting in early February as previously announced.

On Friday evening of next week there is a need for six based aircraft (including the one operating for Brussels Airlines) as this arrivals list shows. Presumably this will be the pattern for the spring and summer.

2030 Milan Malpensa
2035 Hamburg
2045 Frankfurt
2050 Aberdeen
2130 Brussels - for SN
2155 Munich

The Airbus corporate shuttle to Hawarden and Toulouse always seems to be less busy on Fridays than on the other weekdays (POETS Day?) so it's not clear if a shuttle aircraft is used as part of this evening flotilla or whether at times each week there is a need for at least seven based aircraft.

All aircraft are shown as ERJ 145s except the HAM which is a 135.

That's a sizable base Bmi Regional have now at Bristol. I hadn't realised they'd got such a large contingent there.

There's been a need for a minimum five based aircraft for quite a while including the Airbus corporate shuttle and the aircraft operating for Brussels Airlines.

This year frequencies have been increased on FRA to 3 x daily (from 2), ABZ to 3 x daily (from 2) and MUC 2 x daily (from daily). HAM remains at 2 x daily, although MXP (after being axed for the first few months of this winter) returns but only 2 x weekly - it was up to 5 x weekly last year. These are weekday frequencies; weekends are less.

Being reported on another forum that there's a new 6 weekly dusseldorf service starting this summer

I would not be surprised although there is nothing yet on either the BRS or bmir website. If this does become official it might not be the only new route for bmir from BRS.

BRS-DUS

The DUS official website shows the operation commencing on 27 April with ERJ 145 aircraft operating an evening rotation from Monday to Friday each week with an earlier evening rotation on Sundays. Flight numbers BM 1867/1868. No Saturday flights.

Joint announcement by BMI and the airport due today.

DUS, CDG and NTE are showing as book able on the BMI site.

CDG will be interesting to see as it will be twice daily and up against EZY.

nice to see cdg with another operator. i wonder if easy had an idea bmi were going to do cdg, or they thought wait and keep going with high fares and announce double daily at a later date. if so they got caught out.be interesting if they do any thing about it.

nice to see nte back. it was tried a few years ago by aer arran and was dropped. i cant remember why.
lets hope these new routes do well.
many more routes from bmi, and they may as well move their base down to brs.

I agree that it will be interesting to see easyJet's reaction now that bmi regional has come onto the CDG route. The bmir timings are not great for a day in Paris; dep BRS 0720 and get back at 1655. However, by combining an outbound bmir leaving at 0720 and returning with easyJet that leaves CDG at 1900 hours and arrives BRS 1915 (all timings local ones) a meaningful business day could be achieved.

This minor whinge aside, the announcement of the new routes is extremely positive which, taken with increased frequencies on a number of established routes, hopefully suggests that the airline is confident in what it is doing at the airport.

Looking at the timetables the below seems to be the daily frequencies at BRS from 27 April, showing departure time and return time at the airport:

All the flights seem to be on the E145 except the Hamburg rotations (as now) and the middle Aberdeen rotation which are on the E135.

In addition, bmi regional operates the Airbus corporate shuttle to Toulouse and Hawarden (several flights a day Monday to Friday) and for Brussels Airlines to Brussels 3 x daily on weekdays, fewer rotations at weekends.

Finally, bmi regional will operate from BRS to Verona and Bastia (Corsica) at summer weekends on behalf of tour companies.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
