There was a nice advert on TV last night for KLM from LBA to AMS. It showed a KLM E190-2 though which is a bit naughty given most flights aren't operated by KLM, let alone on an E190-2.

Some might argue that is misrepresentation unless the ad makes clear that other operators might be used.

Even so, it's good to see an LBA specific ad . There was also an ad by Aurigny for their service from LBA to GCI.

Seen similar ads online too specifically for LBA so it's good to see KLM pushing it.

Another 'sub optimal' KLM experience. My sons fiance and a group of friends were booked on this mornings flight to AMS. They were going for a long weekend.

At 19:00 last night they got an email from KLM advising them the aircraft originally scheduled aircraft had gone 'tech' and there were no longer seats for them. Priority was being given to pax with connections. The scheduled aircraft was an E190, the substituted one was an E170.

They offered a flight 24 hours later- tomorrow morning and some compensation.

Not very satisfactory when you are only going for 3 days and cant get a refund on accommodation

Lets hope tomorrows operates on time.

they should claim for compensation from KLM - they should get £220 each which may help cover the hotel cost loss.

Thanks, I assume thats what they were offered. Its better than nothing but doesnt really compensate for the loss of time. I was more concerned that KLMCH didnt step in with an aircraft, or that there was no offer of another flight today.

Apart from customer confidence and loss of reputation it must be costing KLM a fortune for all these cancellations, delays and other issues.

Loving the fact Mainline stepped in today - let's hope that happens again, or even becomes permanent - we can only dream.

That's ultimately the end of the footy season now so perhaps 3 months grace for Eastern to really get their house in order before it all starts all over again.

Things have definitely quietened down on this thread so is that a good sign things are starting to settle for T3? As mentioned before could be no coincidence this is happening now the football season is over and if so what starts to happen again from August?

@White Heather would be very interested to know what LBA Management thinks of all this at the next CCM!

Even though the night-stopping aircraft Embraer 190, G-CSLN arrived on the late KLM1025 service evening, tomorrow morning's early KLM1018 Service to Amsterdam has been cancelled due to Eastern having no spare Flight-crew to operate it.

It will instead position out empty to Manchester at 12:30 as "EZE071P"

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
