It gives KLM more flexibility. They can put onsale seats up to the E295 but if they don't sell that amount on the flights they can use a smaller aircraft from the Cityhopper operation. The alternative if they didn't have them would be to cut frequency or possibly even the route itself.

I never said there was a problem, it's the frustration of them scheduling a 190 or 295 and then something smaller turns up. That said I get the operational flexibility and the maintaining of service that brings but it doesn't make it any less frustrating

Yes, but only 3 flights were showing the GMT departure time on FR24. All the others were showing the BST departure time.

Frustrating for us as aviation enthusiasts maybe but probably not for the average passenger.

Appreciating I have been one of KLM's biggest critics over the use of E175s at LBA it is only fair to say that they are using more E190s and E295s as promised, so fair play to them

4th daily (weekdays) KLM City Hopper Amsterdam - Leeds/Bradford route wont be needed as we still get a capacity uplift of 20x seats daily using the Embraer 195-E2.

Winter 25/26 - 4x daily 388 departing seats = 3x Embraer 190 (100 Seats) & 1x Embraer 175 (88 Seats)
Winter 26/27 - 3x daily 408 departing seats = 3s Embraer 195-ES (136 seats)

Still doesn’t mean it can not be added, offering more flexibility and connections with passengers and generally increasing capacity on the routes. More frequency’s are always needed
