A lot of Biz Jets movements recently which is fantastic to see, as Multiflight share the apron with Jet2, would there be any scope for expanding the apron over at that side of the airport? I have seen a picture over the weekend of 9 biz jets parked up.. be great is this continues!

There were plans some years ago to expand Multiflight with additional hangar and apron space, but it never happened for some reason. Perhaps they should apply for planning consent and use up all GALBAs pot of money!!

Yesterday marked my first visit to the cafe in around 3 years and it was great to catch up with some old(er) faces! A very interesting and amusing afternoon especially with Mr Comedian in the ranks - you know who you are! Don’t know if I am lucky to be still alive today after risking repeating those jokes at home!

N11MA is not resident, it lives in Germany.
G-HAPA arrived from Stansted 20/6 to be based.

For the record, PC-12 G-SPEN is no longer esident, having been sold and re-registered N21WL.
PA-28 G-BZLH has also left, reregistered in Malta for a new owner in Dubai

Seems to be a lot of Biz Jets movements at the moment which is great. Would there ever be a possibility of Multiflight expanding the apron/potentially building more hangers?

Think the long term plan was to go develop more space to the East of the existing double barrel hanger.
Have heard Jet2 were interested and looking to build something big over there. That way they could hand back the existing leased space back to Multiflight.

It’s well known within certain circles Jet2 want/need more hangar space and a purpose built facility would fulfil their need for the future fleet growth.

At LBA there appears no appetite to spend money on a needless application for a long winded no guarantee return when you can build at other airports without issues.

With the purchase of the ex Air Livery hangar, MAN will see yet more expansion from Jet2, this time on the engineering side. We are yet to see if they will simply refit the existing building or knock it down to build a new structure. Unfortunately it’s LBA’s (Leeds city regions) loss on high paying/skilled jobs for the local economy.

Never mind. As long as the selfish Nimbys are happy, what's a few jobs?

Before COVID came along and scuppered alot of things I'm lead to believe plans were been drawn up with Jet2/LBA and Multiflight all joint partners.
Now I'm not sure what the situation is, but I'll ask my source.

To be honest I can't see how LCC could refuse a planning application that would wholely be within the airfield boundary. As long it's not on greenbelt land, as was the planned new terminal and keeps within the Southside current operational limits.
It would bring in more highly skill jobs too.

Now if Labour want to be seen as the party for the people and jobs, even Alex Sobel might have to agree along with his gang of well known anti LBA/Aviation friends.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
