After spending last night at BHX Flair Jet Embraer Phenom 100 G-ITSU returned not long ago and should spend another night on the Elmdon Apron.

The Biman DC-10 S2-ACR is scheduled to arrive on Thursday from Dhaka via Kuwait. It is due on the 20th, at 16:20 I believe, and will spend Friday parked up, most likely on 85C or 86C. Saturday, Sunday and Monday it will be doing the scenic flights then Tuesday will be departing to Bruntingthorpe to be preserved in the aviation museum.

Apparently Ian Allen will have a pop up shop selling memorabilia situated in the flight school which was the old viewing area.

I thought it was going to Seattle? Typical Biman, couldn't stick to a plan if their life depended on it!

And the word is that Plan C is to part the aircraft out for recycling.

Seems the BS bandwagon goes on.

'We will open BHX/JFK in April with shiny new B77W's'

turns to

'We will hopefully open BHX/JFK in June with clapped out B772's'

'We will donate the DC10 to Seatlle and offer the BHX-SEA flight'

Turns to

'The aircraft will be scrapped at Bruntingthorpe'

'MAN is too expensive for us'

Turns to

'We will open MAN flights later this year'.

Has Kevin Steele taken the Michael O'Leary class of PR?

Still, at least the DC10 actually turned up on the day they said, but is surely now people can see why some of us MAN folk are weary of Biman?

Swiss have again got an extra flight today for the half term, this mornings is an A320 with an A321 at 12:50 and another A321 at 18:10. The 18:10 is planned to be HB-ION which will be a first visit to BHX.

Beech 99 N899AE just arrived, it will be used for some air to air photography of the DC-10 flights the first of which is currently in the air.

Plenty of extra flights to/from DUB this week with Aer Lingus adding two A321's and an A320 to the normal schedule today, there were also extra Ryanair's. These are for the Cheltenham Festival which starts tomorrow.

There's reports that an RAF Tristar ZD951 landed at BHX a short while ago. Four were due at Bruntingthorpe today from Brize with reports of three routing over Coventry, no idea why the fourth one would make a stop at BHX (if indeed it has) unless the weather is bad in Leicestershire.

Well none of the movement blogs showed a Tristar yesterday so someone seems to have got the wrong end of the stick somewhere.

Jet2 738 G-GDFP arrived this afternoon at 14:35 and departed and hour later, no idea why?

Thomson 738 G-TAWS is due at 09:14 on a delivery flight from Boeing Field as TOM9745.

Estonian Air ERJ170 is due at 15:45 as OV9752.

Subject to change of course.

Thanks for the info. There were a few reports of one very low over Coventry with wheels down so maybe someone assumed it was en route to BHX.

I saw this over Chipping Campden from nearby heading towards Stratford-upon-Avon around that time - a glorious view for about 30 seconds.

I bet it was an awesome sight :)

Carpetair F100 YR-FKA landed recently operating for Flybe.

West Atlantic should be operating a charter through BHX this Saturday using a 737, no times as yet.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
