Idk they seem to making cuts at bases due to delayed aircraft delivery. Would be great to see them take the route on though and I'm also hoping they'd return to the Tenerife route as well. If CWL could get both and possibly an extra frequency on Faro I think that would be fantastic news for the airport!Hopefully they might try Palma, they are expecting many new planes by summer 24, we could do with some good news.
From the articles it seems these cuts will be winter only and they will then have extra aircraft deliveries in time for summer 2024… But of course that’s an ideal scenario situation.Idk they seem to making cuts at bases due to delayed aircraft delivery. It is now but the times are very late with flights arriving in Dublin at midnight!Dublin was on sale for summer 2024 (daily) but doesn’t seem to be on there anymore…
With Vueling on Malaga i'd be surprised if they increased on there but fingers crossed for Faro!Hopefully FAO and AGP see an increase
Let’s hope they’re finalising adding even more flights than this year - or even better, a base!So apparently Ryanair will release the rest of their Summer 2024 schedule from Cardiff at the end of October. I wish they wouldn't leave it so late.
I'm hoping we'll see Faro go to 3 weekly and see something like TFS or PMI added and BFS return for the summer. Personally i'd rather Ryanair add TFS and Vueling PMI.Let’s hope they’re finalising adding even more flights than this year - or even better, a base!
We shall see…

I think the problem with that though now is especially for a small airport like Cardiff is that it's main rival airline Easyjet does seem to acting more like a tour operator now and releasing flights more in advance and many will be looking to book in advance and those potential sales may well have been lost to airports like Bristol and Gatwick.Unlike the tour operators Ryanair knows it can sell at short notice
Fingers crossed, it does look like from June the Wednesday flight for Dublin has been dropped which is a shame but if they increase Malaga and Faro and hopefully add a new route then CWL will be in the plus with Ryanair flights.I didn't think they would increase Malaga, they must be happy with their loads, Faro would be good at 3 per week, let's hope we see Tenerife with them as well. I did notice on the CH Aviation site that Binter Canarias are leasing an Emb 190 later this year, Cwl was a route previously mentioned some time ago that they were interested in.
Yes it is a very competitive market when it comes to routes and based aircraft not just in the UK but all across Europe, CWL can only keep engaging with the airlines and hope that turns into flights and routes. With it looking like Ryanair increasing Malaga i do hope it doesn't lead to a reduction by Vueling on that route. It is very disheartening when you read airports all over the UK, gaining new routes and passengers, perhaps it will improve if FR and Vueling increase their services from and to CWL, and of course we still have Qatar to come, although it has gone very quiet on that front.
As an aviation enthusiast, it is sad to see Wales main airport really struggling. For me, the only way the airport will fully recover and prosper is a private buyer coming in and investing. The Welsh gov aren’t interested, despite what they may claim. Currently, the airport is stagnating. A private owned company will have staff in specific roles. Aggressively marketing the airport and engaging with airlines. It’s like any business. You have to put yourself about. Knock on on doors and build relationships.Yes it is a very competitive market when it comes to routes and based aircraft not just in the UK but all across Europe, CWL can only keep engaging with the airlines and hope that turns into flights and routes.
