The first and third weeks in October sees Icelandair go 4x weekly. The second and fourth weeks in Oct have 5x weekly flights.

November is 4x weekly.

Dec and Jan are both 3x weekly.

February is 5x weekly.

That's as far as it goes at the moment.

Its great to see that after 1 years service at BHX, they seem to be doing ok. They appear to be gradually bulking up there BHX schedule from the x 2 weekly schedule that we had when they started last february.
I was afraid that when AA came onto the scene last May that it could effect Icelandair but it doesnt appear to have done.

And they use the 757, my favourite aircraft by a mile. :good:

Big 757 fan myself

Got to make the most of them though, I think we'll be seeing the MAX when they start arriving in 2018.

Read in the i today, that Icelandair offering bookings from BHX ( amongst others) to Montreal via Reykjavik. They have seen the potential of the Midlands to Montreal market.

Totally agree guys, the 757 is my favourite aircraft by far.

Its that "Whining" sound they make when they start rolling on the runway and take off, soon it will be a thing of the past and we will have the A380 that makes not much noise at all. 👎

I'd really miss the B757 once they go, which will be quite a long time from now. But not only are they absolutely magnificent, they have an awesome sound.

But then again, the more i think about it we probably thought the same (Well us older ones) about the 727 which was the 757 of the time in the 70s and 80s, i remember comparing the Dan Air 727s that used to visit BHX in the summer months and comparing them with the Air Europe 757 (Brand new) and thinking oh my god, they are so quiet. Funny how things change.

Seen as work horses by some but it is a lovely aircraft to fly on. Was on the 757 with Thomson to and from RAK last week. Brum X thank you for your kind words the otherday.

Great footage, amazing sound. Have any of you guys ever heard a ground test run. You can almost feel the power!

Icelandair have teamed up with The Belfry to organise a fun golf challenge. There is the chance to win flights to Iceland and on to North America and the donations go to Birmingham Children's Hospital's Star Appeal, which aims to raise £3.65 million to create the UK’s first centre for children with rare diseases.

Details here if anyone fancies a go.

Well done to both of them, it's a fantastic cause 👍

Apart from the Concorde flight I was privileged to enjoy from BHX to CDG, the B757 was the only aircraft that pushed my seat into my back on take off run.

The sounds of the engines as it gains altitude nearby my home indicates the power of a thoroughbred!

The timetable is showing March also having 5x weekly flights then it settles into 4x weekly for April, May and into June. I'm sure it went down to 2x weekly last year in April?

I think so. I'm sure last year it went down to 2x weekly after the winter increases?

Early days yet though.

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
