BHX should see August at around 1.525m pax, so if there are no issues at this level then the terminal capacity is just over 18mppa

I imagine there are a few crossed fingers for this summer around BHX management!

Whilst 1.525m in a single month gives a theoretical capacity of 18mppa, it's not that simple in practice if they actually want to handle 18mppa.

Demand is not linear, BHX is very seasonal and that isn't going to change, for an 18million year they'll have to be capable of a lot more than 1.5m in peak months.

While 4% growth may look low or disappointing, that is in line with other UK airports average of 4% and above the all UK airports which were flat with no change. London airports dropped by 3%.
Other comparisons - East Midlands down 17% ; Manchester same at 4% ; Bristol up 3%

There is also some distortions in year on year comparisons as Easter this year is totally in April while last year Easter started with Good Friday 29th March so school holidays and Easter getaway breaks would tend to start before that but definitely in March 2024 numbers

Using Ian's April numbers of 1,090,227 this compares to 989,116 in April 2024, a 10.2% increase additional 101,111 passengers
Compred to April 2023, thats a 26.9% increase ( 858,919 passengers - plus 231,308 April 2025 compared to April 2023

I believe the figures were closer to 1,357k.... but hey, who am i to judge!
