What's more worrying is the fact the new Aer Lingus Regional Leeds/Bradford-Belfast City route is initially only operating 3x weekly (Tue, Wed & Sun) using Emerald Airways ATR72-600 from March 27th, whilst the increased 2x daily* (Weekday) service dose not start until June 16th.

I wouldn't say it was worrying? it is great we do have links to NI throughout April confirmed, they're a new airline, they most likely don't have the aircraft availability until June to operate a full schedule, 2 daily is great also, would like to see to see this increase though.

Not worrying during April, seriously we've gone from current 1x daily BA CityFlyer to Belfast City & 4x weekly EasyJet service to Belfast Int,
We are down to just 3x weekly (Tue, Wed & Sun) Aer Lingus service to Belfast City that's a lot of slack in the system. Especially given with no flights operating Mon & Fri.

Ok things improve a little from May 1st to June 15th as Easyjet return with it 2x weekly (Fri & Sun) service to Belfast Int'l, Then the full 2x daily (weekday) Aer Lingus regional scheduled kicks off on June 16th.

And I hope they are putting better fares on sale. Currently 300+ each way for dates in late June and early July. Not going to attract many vfr/leisure pax at those fares. Even business pax will be put off at that
As a new airline they may not have been in a position to hedge fund their aviation fuel, in which case they are starting up at the worst possible time, and fares are bound to go up significantly to mirror oil prices. Even Ryanair are talking about more expensive fares.

I just hope that LBA can get easyJet to take up the slack whilst Emerald get themselves sorted and start operating a full schedule, although whether or not the will need two per day at those prices remains to be seen. It's under an hour by air and the fares need to reflect that.

Things seem to have settled down with their website now, most flights from April onwards are under £40 each way...which is very welcome...NI and Belfast in particular, is an excellent destination to visit. I wish them well.

Yeah also it looks like the schedule is starting to fill-out a bit more with extra flights now added.
So when Aer Lingus Regional operated by Emerald Airlines (UK) take over from BA City Flyer on Sunday March 27th and running up until Wednesday, May 25th it looks like flights will now operate up to 6x weekly (1x daily Mon-Fri & Sun). The full published (2x daily Mon-Fri, Sun & 1x daily Sat) schedule kicks off from Thursday May 26th.
The cheapest one-way* fare I've seen so far on the Leeds/Bradford - Belfast City route is around £34.70p

lbaspotter- it was mentioned on one of the other UK routes that not all flights had been loaded. So I’m guessing Leeds will be the same.

But as mentioned it looks like more have been loaded. Good news. Looking forward to their return.

Absolutely. And we all know the popularity of LBA - BHD so they may increase sooner subject to demand. Putin may inadvertently inspire more staycations. - who knows. Positive news re BHD and DUB all the same and good news re fares - obviously temporary website loading situation

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
