The most likely candidates are, yet again, Manchester or Birmingham. Edinburgh has been mentioned but surely a central location within the UK is most likely.
On the subject of runway length Edinburgh airports runway is only 250metre longer than LBAs and look at what they get, 14.7million passengers last year and some daily widebodies!

Aer Lingus Regional have now further pushed back the restart date of the Leeds/Bradford - Dublin route to November 1st. Flights are currently showing operating just 13x weekly - 2x daily Mon-Fri, Sun & 1x daily Sat

Meanwhile the airlines new Leeds/Bradford to Belfast City route due to start on October 1st has a reduced scheduled than originally planned. It will now only operate 11x weekly - 2x daily Mon, Thu, Fri, Sun & 1x daily Tue, Wed, Sat.

The first Belfast City flight has arrived. EI-FAW I believe. I can't help wondering why, as usual, the LBA route was one of the last to be introduced, particularly given the 150k per year passenger numbers on this route prior to the demise of Flybe.
was wondering the same as I noticed the MAN and BHX flights have been operating for some time now?

Aer Lingus Dublin route update:
Due to the on-going Corona-Virus pandemic the Dublin - Leeds/Bradford route operated by Aer Lingus Regional franchise carrier Stobart Air has being further suspended in to next year. Flights will not now recommence until at least Thursday, January 21st 2021

If this continues will they be any airlines left! How long can airlines last with literally all their planes grounded or limited services? Also its incredible to see even at MAN during some periods of the day only 2 or 3 arrivals per hr, and thats now, imagine it in winter! As for LBA sometimes hrs between arrivals!

With the continued refusal of governments to learn to live with this unfortunately this will continue. Thankfully backbenchers are starting now to get restless in UK, with the repeated bull sh*t coming from cabinet about suppression been the only “successful strategy” (clearly doesn’t work) and the refusal to have an adult discussion about different strategies. 6,000 scientists also declared that lockdown clearly doesn’t work. Doctors and nurses admitting it’s too much.

The tests that are being taken are not fit for purpose. They cannot detect covid 19 from any other virus or infections we have in our mouths or throats, and this includes the common cold. I have had this virus some moths ago and the dead debris will still be in my body, so I will test 'positive'.

lockdowns, restrictions and even social distancing does not work, end of! its a virus and it will go where it wants, in a very populated country it does not work.

That's quite right. The government are taking advice from the experts who have the backing of the Gates Foundation and the big Pharma companies. The object is control of the population for their benefit.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
