Seems there’s a couple also in front. A C130 and one other. Out to Greenland - USA/U.K. have a strategic base there?

No, it's turned NE now and is followed by a C17 on a similar routing. I make it 2 C130's and another A400M ahead, all on the same routing and maintaining FL100.

Viewing traffic around Cyprus, an A330 Voyager has just departed AKT (heading NW) and there are 2 C130's inbound from the South.

I'm annoyed with the latest changes to FR24. When I first open the site, all I get is a white screen (Windows + Firefox) and have to reload the site in order for it to load. On larger airports, ground vehicles mow show and I have to zoom in really close to be able to click on the Birmingham Airport link to see arrivals and departures. When I get there, the text font is much worse (smaller?) and the aircraft types now have a light blue background to them, which makes it harder for my ageing eyesight to make out. They've also gone from a 24hr to a 12hr clock, which drives me mad. If anyone knows if these can be changed in the settings, please tell me how.

I don't often use the desktop version but the mobile version does offer the ability to alter certain things without upgrading. Background colour is something you can change in the mobile version of the site.

One suggestion for you Kevin which might help - I'm working from memory as I'm currently away from the laptop.
I recall that if I'm not signed into FR24 the daily logs that I produce, with the introduction of the new format, came in 12 hr format, however when I logged in it came as 24hr.
Hopefully that might solve one issue for you - but obviously it depends whether you have registered with FR24.

Thanks. I've never logged into FR24, I just click on the link I have saved and I'm able to access all the info that I require. I'll give it a go, but guess that I'll have to register.

Am I missing a trick?
Sorry for my late reply. I've only ever viewed Flightradar24, from the website - https://www.flightradar24.com/51.50,-0.12/7. As I've said, I've never logged on and what I get to view is free. There are some restrictions. e.g. if I click on a particular aircraft, things like Indicated Airspeed and Mach are locked, but I can see Ground speed, Altitude and Track. I can also use the Search facility (Registration or Flight Number) and see several days of previous flights , as well as a few upcoming ones. I can also click on a particular airport ans see Arrivals, Departures and Weather etc. The website will timeout after a while (30mins ?), but simply clciking on my browsers Reload icon takes me back in to where I was. So, in all, the FR24 website gives me all the info that I need.

I don't pay for FR24. I don't feel I use it enough to get my monies worth.

Obviously I'm out on a limb as I use it for my daily logs - together with Flightaware who seem to sometime show flights details that FR24 give as "Unknown".
Also worthwhile double checking if in doubt. For example FR24 doesn't show the YYZ/MAN flight operated by Omni Air for Air Canada, but Flightaware does - strange world.

I can't answer any specific questions about the updated FR24 as I too don't use it sufficiently to be able to answer such questions. However Kevin it would probably pay dividends to spend some time investigating the features and filters of the updated programme and logging in rather than not doing so. That way you will see the results of the filters you have saved automatically on each visit, ie, no ground vehicles unless you have elected not to see them each time for example. To get a programme that you are happy with each time, you do need to spend some time with as it is much more adaptable that the last version. There is also a help file which can help but off the top of my head I can't point you to it but it is there believe me.

I use a paid (silver) version, whether that makes a difference or not I don't know but I don't think it will in this case.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
