Hi there Ray and all, so why are there only just 30 flights to florida next year, how many for this year then... Andyc

Well Birmingham will have 30 flights to Florida, sadly that is the total for the whole of 2019.

Ridiculous!

I better stop now as this could go on all night :rage:

But it is Ridiculous, flippin Ridiculous

Right im going to watch one of Jerry's trip reports to calm down as i find them really relaxing with a cup of tea, x2 Triple belgian chocolate cookies and a fabulously creamy hazelnut yogurt. Who needs Thomas Cook, pffffffffffffffffffft

1 per week to the US ex BHX is totally unbelievable, hopefully Primera will announce a S19 programme ?
The MAN guys should consider themselves very lucky they have an excellent TATL offering
But I still think they will loose AA and UA at some point

And here was me thinking BHX could get AA/UA back again 🙁

Just to keep the good news coming Thomas Cook have dropped Varna and Thessaloniki for next year, so another two BHX one season wonders.

Thessaloniki is no big deal as we'll have TUi and Jet2 next year but Varna becomes the latest addition to the already extensive unserved list.

Looking at the website I get the above which is a total of 56 weekly flights, going by the S18 timetable that Matt posted HERE this summer saw 63 weekly flights.

Paphos has gone, although it appears for three weeks at Easter, as have Varna and Thessaloniki. There also seems to be a couple missing from Dalaman and Antalya but that could be arranging away based flights.

As suspected the away based flights are now on a BHX based aircraft with Paphos, Thessaloniki and Varna all dropped. A net loss of 7 weekly flights.

Thanks to Pete (Olton Pete) for the clarification.

For as long as I can remember my in laws, along with quite a few of their friends, have been driving down from Sheffield to use BHX for their holidays to Greece.

The last few years have seen them going to Skiathos booked through Thomas Cook but flying with TUi (no TCX flights from BHX to JSI). As of next year this has been withdrawn so Skiathos is now completely unavailable through TCX, consequently they have all booked from EMA!

Even more passengers lost due to the ever decreasing choice from BHX 👎

Do you mean that Thomas Cook is no longer taking seats on the TUI flights, BHX-JSI? The TUI flights themselves still appear to be operating, at least they are still shown on the current TUI web timetable - Tuesdays and Fridays, May to September.

The TUi service operates as usual but Thomas Cook are (at this moment) no longer taking seats on it.

The accommodation that my in laws use through Thomas Cook is unavailable through TUi, which is why they will be using EMA from now on.

There is still a lot of choice from BHX for holidaymakers. Spain or the Spanish islands.Fancy a weekend break? Again you have a choice.Spain or the Spanish islands. Maybe not that bad yet but getting there.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
