Totally agree I hate them at times but Il always love them deep down....in other words they frustrate the whatsits off me but if your royal blue and white your royal blue and white for life ..

K.R.O.

Tonight yet again for the 4th time this season we deserved a win and I'm not the type to say that unless true most of the time I criticise blues if they are bad then I say it but we are playing good football this season ....

Definitely agree with the last few comments although I must admit to being "tierd and weary " at times after 60 years for 2 league cups I was there as a nipper for the first one against the Villa.

My first visit would have been late 1950s no idea who against though.

I think that sums up the vast majority of Blues match reports, played the other team off the park but still didn't win.

I chose Rotherham as it's a game that we might actually win, I want to start him off with a positive. It's also where Mrs F is from so it'll make a good talking point with the in laws :)

I bet Derby thought that before today's match. Nothing against Rotherham but I hope Finkle Minor sees a home win. It might mean a new Blues fan who will remain so for the rest of this century and beyond.

Can see your logic in picking a game we might win but to be honest it doesn't works like that with the Blues. I still haven't got over the1975 semi final when we were strong favourites to win and were also the best team left in the competition so naturally we lost with the last kick in extra time in the replay (own goal) always do it with style.

I've been out and not seen any of the results today, I should really have looked before typing that :wideyed:

Rotherham have had three wins and four losses so far this season, Birmingham have had no wins, five draws and two losses.

If nothing else Mrs F will enjoy a Balti Pie and a Bovril :)

Has anyone ever been to Mach Loop in Wales?

I've been watching a few videos and it looks a spectacular place, although I do understand that it can be a little hit and miss with regards to seeing anything.

It's probably too late in the year now but I might plan a trip next Easter.

Full credit to Elwyn R for the excellent videos below.

Seeing the video of the jets in the Mach Loop reminded me of when i used to play golf at Kington. The club is the highest in England and at the ninth tee you are approaching 1,300ft above sea level.

From the tee on the 9th you are standing right on the edge of the hill with extensive views across to the Welsh mountain ranges and down to the valley below. It was not unusual to be playing this tee and for a RAF Tornado to whistle past you at virtual eye level on your right hand side. A stunning experience....

The RAF still use this area for low-level training but with my knees in the state they are, i don't play any more. And who's to know what jet fighters are screaming through the valley...

4 points and 4 places behind 'you-know-who's and off on a run now to win the league then get deducted 21 points for being useless off the field.

And the mighty Moors! 5 flippin' Nil!!! We can only dream of having Solihull in the EFL. Taking the kids to see Braintree Town v the Mighty Moors when they visit Essex in November. Need to find some yellow and blue clothes ...no a nice combo.

Leicester and QPR were fined for the same thing but as their investment meant they were promoted to the Premier League they could afford it Break the rules and if you are rich enough to afford to pay we will fine you,If you are not we will send you to jail.A theme that seems to run through British justice
at all levels.

We came across these videos earlier in the year. When we go to Wales we stay not far from the routing they use through the valleys. It is very spectacular and lovely scenery. The two best places are Cad East and Cad West where these videos are taken from.

A couple of links that might help, including the schedule of movements...

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/operational-low-flying-training-timetable

https://machloop.co.uk/

Thanks very much, there's some great info on those links :)

I think I might plan a week in the area, I'd hate to go all that way and nothing happens on the day so a week would give us options.

I used to go quite regular but stopped when the facebook brigade got going and the hills became a circus with loads of one visit experts. Forget the low fly timetable as it doesn't mean shizer. Weekends and bank holidays no RAF flight's or any others generally. I've been up there with no movements and with red letter days, pick your midweek day/week/month its hit and miss unless you know someone with inside info.
Bwlch, cad west and east most popular but if you are feeling energetic try the straight up route at bluebell.

Thanks for the info (y)

I might plan a few days up there to give more options. If we don't see anything we'll just enjoy a nice break in Wales :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
