Wizz have always been very loyal to the airport's they fly in to I don't see them going elsewhere in the South West they will want a number of bases here located sensibly around the UK
I agree in principle but as we all know, it's a cut throat industry and nothing is ever as secure as it perhaps once was.

If Wizz wants another look at the south-western corner of Britain it might have to look at CWL and/or EXT anyway if BRS loses its planning application appeal and is stuck at its current 10 mppa planning limit, a figure it was on course to reach next year had the pandemic not intervened.
If it's willing to open 1 aircraft bases, CWL/EXT could be options, or it could spread over all 3, BRS/CWL/EXT. What is interesting about Wizz is that they are willing to expand at a time when other airlines are savagely cutting routes.

Twenty aircraft base within a year if they can get the slots.

Interesting how the target market would differ to that at LTN.

A higher number of planes would be directly based at Gatwick because the bulk of passengers would be Britons making leisure trips to the continent. That contrasts with Luton, where a majority of passengers are flying in to the U.K. to work or visit friends and family.

Feel for Wizz they want the slots at Gatwick they want to build quickly and they're strong financially whilst others aren't and probably won't be again ( Norwegian and Virgin) its aa tricky situation re slots however I feel they should be given some extra slots on the basis the will use them.

Wizz air UK:

Tenerife South will resume this winter from December 14th but Malaga is not operating this Winter that will hopefully resume next Summer. From SeanM1997 on twitter.

To add to the above the Luton-Athens routes will transfer over to London Gatwick for Summer 2022.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
