Sruart is now backs coach at Leinster Rugby Union, I saw an article recently stating he flew in/out of LBA on a weekly basis as he still intends to live in Leeds whilst taking on this new role.

Also Alan Halsall better known as Tyrone from Coronation Street was on Jet2's first flight to Berlin, probably a publicity thing!

Chris Grayling MP, Secretary of State for Transport visited the Airport last week and have now issued the following press release on its website News section..

Secretary of State for Transport visits LBA
2nd February 2017

Last week, we welcomed Chris Grayling MP, Secretary of State for Transport to Leeds Bradford Airport. During his visit he had a private meeting with the Executive Directors of LBA and toured the airport’s facilities.

Topics discussed included surface access to and from LBA, the significant economic benefits that LBA generates for the region, our plans for development and broader aviation issues. The tour included a visit to the Air Traffic Control tower, to view investments in the latest state of the art systems made in recent months.

John Parkin, Chief Executive for LBA, said: “It was a very encouraging and positive visit. We were delighted to welcome the Secretary of State for Transport here at LBA as it gave him the opportunity to see first-hand how we are developing the airport to meet demand for air travel in the city and region and to the investment being made in facilities and customer service experiences.

“I’d like to thank the Secretary of State for Transport for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit our airport and we very much look forward to keeping him updated on our progress.”

The visit came on the same day as the Secretary of State for Transport addressed the Leeds Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
