So far it’s only the A380 but I believe the 777X will also have it when they are delivered. Whether any 2 class A380s will have Premium Economy added, I don’t know.

2 class A380s remain 2 class for high density routes, they all have a fairly new and modern cabin anyway since the 2 class A380s started being delivered at only 2015

MAN isn’t being upgraded it already has three class A380 for the lunchtime services. The Morning one will change to 2 class 777s and I believe evening will stay the same. BHX will get EK22 A380s which is changing to 777
They are turning some of economy into Premium economy on numerous 3 class A380s.So thats the upgrade.These will be used on some of the flts out of MAN from early next year;

All 6 LHR flts getting 4 class

LGW 1 daily rotation from 1st Jan

MAN EK17/18 from 15th March

I get First class is a niche market and doesn't work on all routes, but priced correctly, premium economy should work on all routes. If Emirates don't plan on giving the 2 class aircraft PE, then IMHO they're shooting themselves in the foot.

On the 3 to 4 class A380's, it been a net loss of 5 seats, which will be more than offset by the much higher premiums they're charging for PE - looking at a LHR-DXB return in November, PE is a 150% uplift on Economy or £900 more (£600 vs £1500).

What you say is quite true. Nevertheless, on long haul routes PE is not populated just by those upgrading from Economy. There will be a percentage who are downgrading from Business. EK will want to keep that percentage as low as possible to maintain Business Class revenue.

Very true.

I suspect as long as the other ME airlines (Qatar, Etihad, Saudia, etc) don't opt for a premium economy product, on routes where Emirates doesn't send PE aircraft they don't risk losing out as the competitor doesn't have it either.

Will be interesting to see what config they equip their A350s and B787s with.

Shall we have a friendly bet on what reg they send on day one of the 380 ops?

Got a feeling it won’t be fully booked out so they may even send an older 3 class!!!

Controversial lol
Well I wouldn't mind if a 3 class A380 visited as it would mean there is a small chance of seeing A6-EEU or A6-EEW at BHX. 😍

Tim Clarke said yesterday that they may not take the B787s but instead order more B777Xs.No final decision made though.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
