I've only just got back from Yorkshire so I totally missed it (n)

With June generally being a quiet month for that part of the world there is a chance we may have a few more 3 class aircraft. Hopefully this one will visit again.

Came directly over my house this afternoon, looked fantastic against the blue sky. Even my girlfriend liked it (y)

Came over my house (in Essex) also. Kids got excited..."is it going to see Grandma" Been spending some time this wonderfully hot and dry weekend in the garden with the kids and had Flightradar 24 with us. Astonished by the number of BHX destined flights there have been. EDI bound flights also frequent. Little for MAN which I have been surprised at as it is on the same alignment at BHX. Countless LHR bound flights. Saw a luton bound DHL in glorious yellow turn over our house last night. Sometimes the odd one goes over which Flightradar does not recognise.....ummmm. someone's air force me reckons.

There's probably just a few flights you'll see for MAN. The majority of the flights from the east/Europe come in over the North Sea, and break land around the hull area.

Only a few tracks use the Essex area due to the busy airways and wanting to leave space for the Southern flight.

There are two or three dates in June when EK41/42 isn't operating, the 8th looks to be the first.

Unsurprising really given the huge amount of capacity we've seen added in such a short space of time, coupled with May/June traditionally being their low period.

good to know that July remains un effected. That is when the summer holidays start proper.... its just then a shame that QR cut 1 flights a week (4 flights a month from the 1st August)

One side note, I think they mentioned Birmingham as in the East Midlands, oooooops and LAX lovely sunny day and they had to show Birmingham on a wet gloomy day.

But then I suppose Birmingham is not Los Angeles but great to see that BHX is part of the select few airports in the world to have A380 flights.

I would take Brum over Los Angeles any day. Found Los Angeles was frankly a bit of a dump with a few ridiculously expensive places like Brentwood, Beverly Hills and Malibu etc. Oh and it's too big, too violent, too polluted and too hot! :mooning:

Maybe slightly OT but having travelled to a few US cities LA's the only one i couldn't get on with, it felt like it had no 'soul' is the best way i can think of describing it.

I've heard that before. Las Vegas is another city that I've heard described as all glitz and glamour but again, no "soul". San Francisco is apparently a whole different world from LA though.

Spot on description. San Francisco and San Diego I quite liked. Didn't see a lot of Las Vegas but that felt the same, totally soulless place.

And I can guarantee that just around the corner from the glitz and glamour you would find poverty and deprivation.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
