Posted on another forum and as expected by some this service didn't last too long. Last Flyone fight to operate on 1st September.

Birmingham has now completely disappeared off the drop down list, last winter it remained on there ready to return the following summer.

Like BA we got two seasons out of them so one more than the norm ;)

Interesting their website still advertises Birmingham as a new route all over their front page!

The people who own the airport.
Competition (the new BAA)
And stupidity.

But Remember when Glasgow slumped? It came back. Took a while.

As the CEO of Berkerly Homes said today, Brum is the best place to invest in the UK. It is. For the first time in a 30 year career in strategic planning I can say that there has never been a time when the fortunes of the city have been ahead of anywhere else in the UK.

But the councilors round the BHX boardroom table need to take their heada out of their.....and sell up and let the airport thrive unencumbered by politics or pettiness.

Tory Party Conference next week in the city. They are the Government. I hope Andy Street and local MPs and ministers can pull off the same deal Osborne did couple of years ago for his local airport. Time to get tough, stretch the rules and play at the same game as others do.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
