The rumour certainly isn't dying down and seems more rife now than ever. A poster on airliners.net who started the rumour said MAN will be a mix of Boeing 777-300ER and A330-200. I hope they can catch a bit of a transfer market through Kuwait, and I can't wait to see whether this comes to fruition.

That must mean a "few" services a week rather than the 2 that I believe were envisaged ?

It’s timed to meet the Indian connection bank that Kuwait Airways has. It would also run a flight to Heathrow at this time if it had the early AM slots to do so, but thanks to MANs 24 hour status, MAN can operate at these times.

I imagine a remote stand only at that ungodly hour! What terminal is allocated?
Why would it need a remote stand? There are other flights that come and go at that time of night. Easyjet has some 0500 arrivals from Dalaman and 0300 arrivals from Tenerife. TUI has flights around those times too while Pegasus have a Dalaman that arrives 1210 and departs 0110 (which I think is worse tbh) and as for the 0500 departure, 30 minutes later and you start getting the likes of the JFK flights arriving if they are running to their usual early arrival times.

Because at that time normally all airbridge stands across all terminal are usually taken up ready for first wave departures from 5.30am.

Ah right, I wasn't aware of 5am Easyjet arrivals...but after looking on FR24 most evenings I see TUI & EZY do have some 2/3am arrivals on some days.
Of course it's not until the summer schedule kicks in when we see the "all nighter" operation properly come to life.

The Tue/Thu/Sun lines replace the Wed/Sun lines so will be 3 weekly once the original schedule gets filtered out. Thanks for highlighting

Kuwait to use the A330 on random dates starting from June 12th
All flights between July 5th and July 31st will now be flown by the A330-200

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
