Some things don't change with PIA. PK701 might have changed departure airports but the service remains dreadful.

PIA have got their work cut out just to improve their image. They have done well to serve the UK for so long but their presence is weakening thanks to the likes of Turkish and Emirates, and they risk fading into insignificance unless they shift their weight and start focusing on quality service.
Their competitors are doing just that and are reaping the rewards.

So true jfy1999 I couldn't agree more and to be honest I think "fading into insignificance" is sadly the most likely probability as they seem either unable or unwilling to change.

LS258 PMI - LBA Aircraft registration G-LSAH is diverting into Manchester at this time due severe thunderstorm over LBA.

Lufthansa B747-800 D-ABYA diverting in now.

It means at least one type of every single aircraft Lufthansa currently operate has now been through MAN.

Thanks user001.its been reported that its wheel well fire indicator light was flashing, and it also landed on 23L and told to stay put till fire services arrive.Hope all is ok.

Anyone know why the Leeds Jet2 flight to Alicante (G-JZHB 738) has diverted into Manchester this evening?

I've heard on the Leeds Bradford thread that three separate Jet2 flights squawked 7700 this morning, I don't know which flights but EC-ISY was one of the planes involved. I believe it's still MAN based?

4U9340 from Düsseldorf has been cancelled.

AA54 has apparently diverted to Dublin :s_dunno

G-WJAN operating TCX3005 from Ibiza to Glasgow has just diverted in.

Fog issues this morning.

Some flights were held at their point of origin to help out flows.

AA54 diverted to Dublin as it wasn't Cat3 capable so waited for the fog to lift. AA210, another AA B767 got in fine.

Nothing else was diverted, and as said, the AA54 couldn't do a cat3 landing otherwise he would have got in too.

MAN did take 2 LPL diverts over the last 2 days. A blue Air B737 yesterday and an easyjet A319 today.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
