G-LSAE operating flight LS910 from FUE turned back shortly after departure from FUE and now appears to be dumping fuel. I don’t have FR24 so I can’t see what the squawk code indicates…
It’s not squawking anything. It’s looks like it’s descending so will be landing at FUE some point soon.

Jet2 A.321 G-HLYB, routing from Dalaman to Manchester has just been intercepted by 2 Typhoons from Conningsby and escorted to Stansted. No reason for the Typhoon QRA known at this time
Someone stated on the Jet2 Facebook group that Jet2 have confirmed this was as a result of a bomb threat.....Stansted being the usual diversion airport for terrorist incidents.

After the diversions yesterday.... time to report an incoming one per FR24
U28202 G-EZGX routing Milan-LGW has routed here directly, and is about to land
NOZ1308 LN-ENP routing Oslo-LGW about to turn final

one SQ went to LHR and the other. CDG, 2 Emerald to LHBa. SAS went back to Oslo, 1 Lufthansa to EMA and 1 back to Munich. Virgin went to LHR
Didn't post as apparrently I was getting ready to pull of a James Bond impersonation at the works do.

If try to let you have the "diverted away" list in the morning - its on my laptop. Hopefully I'll remember before a medical appointment in the morning.

PS - my logs show the number of flights that diverted to each alternate airport.

Manchester forumers always seem to shy away from reporting cancellations or diversions properly unlike at Leeds where you'll even find out which hotel the airline is putting passengers into during a cancellation. I find it fascinating reading which airlines are going where whether an inbound or outbound diversion.

I think it is simply a matter of volume. Reporting them would be a full-time job. MAN was SNOCLO for just shy of 4 hours yesterday morning. I noted 21 inbound flights diverted away. But many, many more were cancelled and didn't take to the air at all. Several EasyJet flights were trapped on the ground at MAN; when they were axed outbound, the return flights were cancelled as well. I'm not certain, but I believe that there may have been some late evening inbound diversions from other airports too. I'd stopped paying close attention after sunset.

Perhaps the best guide will be to compare Scottie Dog's movements for Saturday with those of the same day one week previously. In terms of reporting the stats - warts and all - I don't think there is a more thorough contributor than him on any forum. He files a comprehensive MAN report every day. I think perhaps you underestimate his contribution? 🙂

By now there’s to many to remember. As there been many STN diverts due to snow closure.
I believe we ended up with at least 11 diversions which included 6 Ryanair, 2 Norwegian, 2 easyjets and TK7830 - a WAW-STN diversion.
Some of those landed after MAN's own weather deteriorated and we were in RVRs. The airport seems to have been very accommodating so well done to them.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
